Gearing w/ 88cc?
Gearing w/ 88cc?
I have the 88cc and am running 15t up front, stock rear. i want a little more top, but dont want to lose too much bottom end, so do you think a 38 rear will run good with the 15 up front?
thanks
thanks

I would go up to a 16 tooth countersprocket , but I'm installing a 70cc head and mild race cam which might Rob me of a little bottom end and mid-range oomph. After I see how it runs with the cam and 70cc head I'll go up in front or stay the same. The race cam will allow the motor to rev higher and the head will allow it to breathe better so I assume I'll get another 5 mph top end with the gearing I'm running now. My bike tops out at about 44 mph now, 5 more will be almost 50 mph. I don't need a 50 that goes faster than 50.
..........
wait a minute.........yes I do.

I already bought it..

Come on ..give me some credit.
i was going to go up in the front but since i have taller tires now, and i can't even fit my pinky in between the tire and swingarm, i'm hesitant to go up just b/c i don't wanna rub. i'm thinking i might just go down 2 or 3 in the rear. does the same concept apply that 1 down in the front = 3 up in the rear and vice versa? that's how sportbikes work so i wasn't sure if it was the same.
