Hey I'm a newbie and I have a 2001 XR50

All of a sudden going down a hill i was in full throttle and the bike started sputting hard, and eventually full throttle meant nothing. Tried restarting the bike many times but same deal now... I can rev it a tiny bit but when i go past half way the engine wants to choke out. I barely get any response from the engine and can barely move, but i can idle fine. When you turn the bike on its side it will rev higher, but when straight up and down it dies....

I heard to check the fuel filter, but I have no clue where that is and how to check/put in a new one. Same with air filter.

Any help out there? Anybody gotta manual for sale?

It may sound dumb but put the choke exactly in the middle and try starting it and running it at that position. For some reason mine only runs and starts in this position and it runs great.
