engine problem
engine problem
Got another fiddy cuz it was a good cheap price. The guy had a 110 in there but cracked it and threw in a stock 50. Looks like he didnt take care of it and had no idea what he was doing. The stator cover was off, so i put it back on and there is no compression at all. Not even getting a spark. The kicker just goes right down without putting any force on it. Not sure if its not together right or something, but if anyone has an ideas of what i can do that would be great.
Re: engine problem
Pull the spark plug and put your finger tip snug up against the plug hole. Make sure plug wire is out of the way then push the kick starter down. If air pressure doesn't push at your finger you have no piston compression. The rings are worn horribly worn or the piston is shattered or maybe the crank shaft is stripped and not moving the piston rod when kicked. This scenario in turn will also cause no spark. The crank has to turn motor for spark.
If you have no compression. Pull the head and check the piston, ring and valve status first.
