What you seem to wanna do is power wheelies, not balance wheelies. More torque would help there, but you'll still run out of gear eventually if you don't learn to balance it, just like a street bike.
Face it dude, you just don't have the skills. Balance-point wheelies take good throttle control, and on a fiddy, rear brake control as well. You say if you lean back it comes up too much and you loop it? Well you ain't doing it right. Too much throttle. More torque is gonna cure that? I don't think so.
A good way to to practice and learn the balance point is try to wheelie with your feet down from a dead stop. Just crack the throttle and push a bit with your feet and it will come right up. I weigh 235 and can do it on my buddy's bone-stock fiddy. Let your feet sorta drag behind you. It's easier to flirt with the balance point this way, cuz if you go too far, you just hop off the back. The downside if you go just a little too far, you can't tap the back brake to bring it back down. But one step at a time. Once you get familiar with how the balance point feels, then you can try with your feet on the pegs and using the back brake.
Practice, practice, practice. That's what it takes. More power is always nice, but if you don't have good throttle/brake control, you will never master wheelies on any bike.
the fiddy just takes practice. and you do have to learn rear brake control. you should be able to do it on a 50 straight from the dealership with no mods.
as for me, my longest endo on the fiddy is only 114 ft.

on a stock 50 you need to put the bike in 2 nd gear and pull up on the shifter and rev the motor and drop it back into 2nd and hang on .. on a 88 cc 50 you need to hang on for dear life it will come up in evry gear including 3 rd.
fat people can wheelie the fiddy
hey man im 285 and i can wheelie the fiddy also im 6'5 but i put a three inch kit and stiffers shock very helpful, also big bars help.
First gear is a lock doen but second is iffy. Can do them but loop them evry now and then. But hell it only hurts for a little while
so it can be done i didnt think so at first but hell keep practicing i am . It aint over till the fat man wrecks third gears wheelies!!!!

Practice....Practice....Practice !!
Just takes time bro. My $.02 ... If you want to learn break control, do it in first gear. Don't go to 2nd till you can bring it up in first... go past the balance point, and rub break to save it. Practice that for a while. When you have that figured out.. 2nd comes up like a muthafker... Hurst alot less when you crash in 1st too! Also when you do loop.... screw the bike... unless your into scars and ****... in other words.. LET GO!

A big bore kit is just gonna put you on your fat *** alot quicker than you are now. It's not gonna help, these bikes aren't like big bikes. If you can't do it now, you won't be able to do it with a big bore. Don't come on here asking for advice and then being a little bitch because we don't tell you what you want to hear. Well, I toned it down because I know kids browse this forum, but sorry for being a dick.

Must have a complex or something.od1, I'm sure you won't but don't take it too heart. The guy obviously can't read. I've seen a lot of your posts too and nowhere have I seen Dick. In fact, I think you were one of the people who was asking everyone to cut Wee50 some slack, and everyone gives that poor boy ****.
Fugg 'em.
Oh, I like to get riled up every now and again
It livens up my normally boring day. I guess I might have a weird sense of humor that most people don't get because they don't see my expressions over the net. But yeah, he just struck a nerve cause I went out of my way to be nicer than I normally am, and dude blows his dipshit gasket on me. Thanks for the words
Congrats on your baybay
I'm riding right through your area in the middle of July on my way to Chicago, I'd say let's meet up, but I'm sure you've got your hands full

Re: Wheelies on 50's
just one real quick thing, if you have a big bore kit you dont "have" to use the rear brake at all. i never use mine unless im stopping at a stop sign! its all about throttle control and being able to feel what your bikes doing at all times. And yes i can keep them up over a mile if the road doesnt have any stops in it, without ever touching the brake. It also has alot to do with how you learn to do wheelies. Start out in first gear press the pedal down far enough to get the clutch slipping rev it a little and let off the shifter it should pop up and you will come off the back but put your feet down real quick. get used to the way it feels when it comes up. they will be short wheelies at first but they get longer the faster you get them in the balance point. (the engine doesnt have to rev as hard to keep it up.) when i got my 88cc kit i was having problems with my stock 50 falling out of 2nd gear wheelies and i couldnt go but a few feet. Then i put the kit on and started power wheeling and just kept getting them higher and higher until i finnally got comfortable in the balance point. So you are partally right in your thought process. their are many ways to learn just pick one that works for you. Over all it took about a month of practicing everyday to nail them. Now im scraping 12's on 3rd gear wheelies =D <---(you do need a back brake for that lol.)
Re: Wheelies on 50's
i dont think it really depends on weight either. I myself am 6'2" and cant wheelie for quite a long time (my only problem is i dont have brake control down yet) on my completely stock '05 crf50. When you find the balance point, you can do them pretty good distances. A few of my friends weigh more and have no problem riding them forever... just practice makes perfect
BTW. i NEVER powershift, i pull up in all 3 gears

Re: Wheelies on 50's
i got my fiddy this week, i'm 27 and 175 lbs, bike's got bars (BMX) , rear pegs, and a rear handbrake.
I've followed this and one other post for advice and now i can pull it to BP in 2nd and 3rd with a blip of gas and a good timed tug. for me just putting my feet out and scuffing them around in a ffake wheelie in first gear for 10 minutes gave me the idea of where BP was enough to bust off 1 city block by last night and i turned my first corner from the driveway upon to the sidewalk today. i think i might have to sell the 03 gixxer 750 and buy a few more
hahahahah
anyway good advice here
