New to 50's Have Question
Whats up? I just bought a 2000 XR50 for $500 bucks. I put on a big bar kit, motocross bars, tall seat, intake, exhaust mod, etc. I have HD springs fron and rear coming in a few days along with better front pegs.
Now that that is out of the way, my question is, is there anything that I can do to get rid of the squirrlyness of the bike? Lately in NY its been raining and the dirt is soggy. The bike is all over the place. Setting up for a jump I feel that I am going to bite it before I even get close to the jump. I read that someone said to sit going over the jump and then stand a little before you land. Is there anyway to fix this?
Also, is there a way to lower the pegs, or do people just jack up the rear end? I'm 6'02" 200lbs. Thank's guys.

Re: New to 50's Have Question
First off get an I-shock for the rear it is the best single thing you can buy for it. Next get some fork sliders and instal them with hd front springs...do not install springs without fork sliders. Also check out the swing arm bushings. The fiddys are known for wearing out the frame were the swingarm connects.

Re: New to 50's Have Question
one think no one has mentioned to keep the bike from being squirrely is to increase the wheelbase... longer swinger and a set of SP-5's will add some inches to the wheelbase and increase stability dramaticly
