Throttle hesitation?

Im just askin if its normal or not when I gun the throttle i get a brief hesitation ( like a cough ) then it goes. Almost like its gonna stall for a sec then the fuel starts flowing? Shouldnt it just go the sec I turn the throttle?Any help would be greatly app.

Re: Throttle hesitation?

first thing, make sure your choke is off. Yes, sounds like a stupid mistake, but i did it

secondly, my hundo does this when it's cold, just give it a few minutes to warm up and that might just be it.

Re: Throttle hesitation?

my stock 50 took like half second to respond, makes it kind of hard to time throttle and bounce.I added a 72 kit and now the response is like my f4i

Re: Throttle hesitation?

Your jetting is off. Take the time to dial it in and you will be very happy and probably end up stunting better.

Re: Throttle hesitation?

read a carb guide.

You can adjust your needle in your carb easliy... also the mainjets are cheap and easy.

Id 1st try adjusting the air screw on your carb and see what that does for you... I think factory is out 1/2 turn....

Re: Throttle hesitation?

you need a 05 needle bro. that hesitation is a lean spot, that's why some carbs have accelorator pumps ( to add extra fuel on sudden throtle openings) it's almost impossable to get completely gone and not have it be a bit too rich. there's a comprimise in everything in life.

and i'm not saying it can't be dialed out, there's always that "one bike that doesn't do it" or a fuel injection set up
