rode all saturday and was kinda dusty....i cleaned filter at one point and had some mud like gunk in the inner part of carb.....thinkin i got sand in motor.

Went to start it today and takes more then 15 kicks to get her going,,,normally 1 does it... and now it smokes blue puffs out for a bit...pretty good puffs too, cant tell if it goes away completely when warmed up or not...smells like its still somewhat there...Anyone have probs with this....could it be just maybe valve seal...starts alright after runnin for awhile...but if it sits its hard to start...maybe just rings got messed up some..??

 

You're not running premix are you? Sounds like oil getting into cylinder somehow, most likely the rings becuase as they heat up and expand it goes away.

 

LOL, no, no premix....smoked the rings, Ordered some up and ill get here back on the road..Just wanted some opinions before i went and ordered up parts...Took it apart and everything is good so rings it is...

 

I would say if you had dirt in the carb it probably got sucked into the cylinder and wore down the rings and maybe scarred the cylinder.
