50 baffle question

50 baffle question

What do you guys think would be the best way to quite my 50 down so i can ride around the neighborhood. has a 125kit and piped?? Was thinking about welding a washer? should I do this or not? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

just about the quietest you can get is the stock pipe with the stock baffle intact.

if you weld in a washer and say keep the hole that comes with it, and maybe drill some more holes in it, it might help quiet it down, but you're going to choke the **** out of the big bore.

stock exhaust with stock airbox with stock bike is as good as your gonna get..

If you restrict it any more it'l lose power..

Stick youir foot over the end of the exhaust, its almost silent.. But I bet it has no power =\

I found a bushing that I had laying around the garage. The diameter was perfect, about a quater inch thick has about a hole the size of a cigar, and i driled 1/8" holes around the diameter. It works great, did fell a bit of lossed power but not anything i cant live with, plus its removable, if i need to go back to stock i can pull the bushing out. Thanks for the input!!!
