Re: XR 70 ?'s

I wonder if the good high end of the 70 compared to the 50 is that the 50 has a 14/37 sprocket configuration and the 70 15/36 sprocket configuration

70 has a gear ratio (if you will) of 2.4:1 and the fidy you get a gear ratio of 2.645:1

I have a feeling if you change the sprocket configuration on the 70 to the lower gear ratio the stock 50 it will do better in the lower end
With the bigger bore and the sprocket ratio of 14/37 the 70 should (strength wise) pull the frame out from under the 50. . It must be that the sprocket ration for the 50 helps it climb hills and whatever. the kids need to climb hills. They don’t need the top end speed of the 70.
The 70 ON THE OTHER HAND IS BUILT TO GET older experienced kids down the track at top speed. Little ones do not need top end speed they need power to climb hills without falling.

OR SOMTHING LIKE THAT

HECK WHAT DO I KNOW? I JUST BAUGHT MY FIRST MOTORCYLE,IN MY LIFE, bout 3 weeks ago. The absolute best toy I ever bought in my life 2001 XR50R for $750 used by a little kid with training wheels on it… may as well be brand new as far as I care…

And the 50 kicks ****

50’s RULE

Does any one disagree with my guess or maybe someone with actual knowledge about the 70 and the 50 can speak to this power issue …..

I have never rode a 70 but there are people that say they are good and bad . The 70 can't really be much more powerful than a 50 . It is also a little bit taller , heavier , longer wheel base (changes the balance point-makes it higher) , and still has the auto clutch . Some people don't like this .

A 70 can be stunted though . Watch this :

http://50stunt.com/media/The_70_web.wmv

You could put a big bore on a 70 (if you can find one, 50stunt.com has some stunt parts) , or you can gear it up to have more torque . But at that point you might as well buy a 100 or a 150 and save the hassle .

People do things to fiddys for certain reasons . For fun , for stunnin , or for dirt . We have to . The lil bike was designed for a 6 year old
I rock my fiddy as stock as it can be . I think it's more pimp

I have to ask you a question about your bike .

Did you take the training wheels off

yeah i had to take them off cuz i kept getting stuck in a little hole in the yard. and the rear wheel just spins and spins and throws dirt all over my house...hehehehe

when i go down to the motorcycle shop and asked to sea a crf50f 06 they asked wich of my kids was going to ride it and when i said i would the guy looked at me like i was crazy. so i smacked him in the mouth and poked hime in the eye and then i uh i uh yeah told him to **** it yeah yeah thats what i did told him to **** it. yeah yeah , uh and then he did uh no i mean he tried uh yeah and then i samcked him in the jaw and wiped offf. yeah yeah thats the ticket. yeah i smacked him and he ran away.

Re: XR 70 ?'s

Autoclutch is cool....I was intimidated by motorcycles UNTILL i found out about a motorcycle that would not kick my *** in a fight...

If my fiddy acts up i smack it down and call it a *****...

It then proceeds to run my (1/8 horse power) **** over. my fiddy calls me a ***** and farts in my face and tells me to smell that. Before i know it my *** is sore my legs are sore, and I cant remember my name. I should start wearing protection. Helmets and that sort of stuff...

Re: XR 70 ?'s

go a tooth down on your front sprocket , maybe even one up on the rear.. you will rip through those low gears much better.. i think the 70 is geared too tall

Not really an issue on a stock fiddy . For a big bore kit on a fiddy you should run a high volume oil pump

Maybe you shouldn't have added this question onto a xr 70 thread

HUH, I guess I figured it would be the same answer for either bike. They seem proportionally similar?? If I could take it back I would, I'll repost.
