WHats up fellas i orderd my bbr kit today . I got it for a hell of deal pretty much the only reason i bought it, From my understanding i just bolt everything up right? ANy mods to help out besides the kit. Filter or anything cdi box? Should i Mill the head alittle. The kit comes with cam and all. I guess i should jet it right? Maybe bigger carb what should do after the kit is on.
I dont race im just a big dude so i want alittl emore power.

i have that kit i would get a new front sprocket kina twitcy just like any bbk the power band is a little weird hope u know how to use ur rear brake gunna need it if u stunt most of my boys wreck my bike when they first got on it. the cam kicks in and u get a burst of power. cdi would help i still need to get one.

 

milling the head will throw off the cam timing.

 

yeah, but you could slot the cam gear and set it up any way you want it.
i don't know how much valve clearance there is with that piston, so that may be an issue if you mill the head. if it's close, and you have any valve float, you'll stick a valve thru the piston, and that sucks. i have a couple oil cooled gsxr pistons with half dollar sized holes in them from that.

 

I take it the 82cc BBR kit is the one everybody goes with to make larger displacement with their xr50s, right? Are there any larger ones and what are some good websites to check them out on?

most people go with the 88 i like it better than the 82 think i am gunna change mine one day fab5fiddy can hook u up with a 88 for a good price send him a pm he helps everyone out on stuntlife
