Sikk MX bikes

I want to buy 50 sized bike and I was looking around online and for a little more than a stock XR50, I can get this Sikk MX bike($1399). This bike has a 107cc 4 stroke motor, extended aluminum swing arm, 4 speed manual transmission, dual disk brakes, alloy bars, heavy-duty front forks, 12" front rim and 10" rear, and Sikk Power Pipe. Does anyone have one of these? How are they and are they as reliable as a Honda?

Re: Sikk MX bikes

www.50stunt.com is a Sikk Toys Dealer. We carry the bikes and I ride mine every weekend. The bike has held up good in many conditions: axle deep sand, huge hillclimbs, hittin doubles, rocky trails, and wide open fire roads. I had some problems with bolts coming loose, and the footpeg mount bent ( I am 200 lbs too). Other than that I have beat this bike silly for 3 tanks of gas with no other problems. I did lay it down, bent my rear brake lever, and the rear brakes locked up on me for some reason. Sikk had me the new replacement parts in 2 days to fix the bike!! Here is my initial review of the bike if it helps.

We have the bikes in stock if you are interested.

Re: Sikk MX bikes

Moor, Does it stunt like a modded XR? (big bore kit/spring/etc)
Also, there is a local dealer that I'd get it from here in Jax and no offense, but I wish I could hear an opinion from somebody who DOESN'T sell them and who has had one longer than a month. I mean I really like the way the bike looks and it seems like it'll last, but I've heard too many horror stories about Thumpstars bikes. Anybody else...please chime in...

Re: Sikk MX bikes

Hey, no problem. I will keep posting my reviews of the bike, i actually have not advertised selling them yet on our site. Now that I have some time on the bike I can sell them with confidense. The main weakness of the bike is the footpeg mount. You will not find a more honest review of this bike than the ones I have posted on this forum, we keep it real at 50stunt. As far as stunting this bike, it brings the front wheel up with no problem in 1st-3rd, breaks work awsome for stoppies, but I need to come up with a handbrake for it and slide on some stuntpegs. The tires even work good on the street and the dirt. If you buy one, make sure to go through the entire bike with medium locktite on all nuts and bolts, upgrade the footpeg mount, tighten the spokes, change the oil and you should be ready to rip it up!! :YEAH

Re: Sikk MX bikes

bike is pretty cool i got one the other day. only problem im having is that it is pissing oil from the clutch housing plate, and i mean its pissing. for the guy who wrote the review does yours happen to have a gasket under that housing plate on the right hand side ... jus curious ? it almost seems to me that that would solve my problem ..... any suggestions would be great .... but other then that its tonnes of fun and holds up well.

Re: Sikk MX bikes

I am not sure if it has a gasket, but I did have to tighten the bolts cuz it was leaking oil a little. Stanton told me about it yesturday when he read this thread, he put the bike together out of the crate.

I took the bike riding yesturday and the rear wheel spokes came loose again. I have tightened them every ride . I also noticed oil leaking from the ingnition cover, looks like it could be a crank seal. I also bent a footpeg after I installed a chromoly footpeg mount and the rear brakes are dragging all the time. the bike held up desent for 3 rides, but now the problems are showing themselves. Gonna call the manufactures today and see what they will do. Gotta say I am bummed on the sikk right now, I just want to ride, not wrench on a bike all the time.
