there is a huge industria park where we live, the nestle factory and more, there is never anyone there on sundays and its wide and long like truck loading zones that are empty.

you guys should come down sometime.

I work in Macungie for Mack Trucks. I know exactly where the Nestle factory is. I was going to the spend a couple hours before work this week and check out some industrial parks. I would have never even thought about the Nestle factory. Are you sure there is no one around on Sundays?

what speed do you start braking, and do you just let off when you hit a point, i assume you would hit hard to get it up and then kinda half on it to keep it up while rolling

am i right?

30 - 40 mph is a good speed to get comfortable with having the rear wheel in the air. It is still slow enough that once you get the rear wheel up you are already going pretty slow just in case you get it too high. I would suggest you buy a decent steering stabilizer. Because when you get the stoppie close to the balance point the front tire will wobble back and forth and you'll more than likely check out. It wobbles because all the bike's weight is on the triple trees. I squeeze the front brake hard at first and ease off it as the wheel starts to get high. But there is a fine line between squeezing the lever hard and quick and chopping the front brake. Chopping the brake will result in the front tire skidding. Once you do more stoppies you'll find that the back end will come around while it's off the groound. You solve this gripping the tank with your legs and pushing on the handle bars. If the rear is walking towards teh right you would psh on the right handle bar. The left side would be vice versa. The higher you get the stoppie the less the rear end will walk on you. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the invite to ride at your spot. PM me with your number and I'll give you a shout the next time I practice.

Laterz, KW Rich
