The skinny on ST, MCM, etc
The skinny on ST, MCM, etc
I've decided to step down as ST's manager. I know, I just got started, but it's something that I have to do. This isn't a result of any drama or anything like that; I just don't have the flexibility to give it 100%. As you may or may not know, I'm married and have two kids. It's too difficult to try to work with set deadlines when my family needs and deserves me around. I'll still be working with ST in the same capacity as before; supporting at parties, shows, etc, and will probably continue to maintain the website.
I've been around the riding scene in Detroit for 10 years. I always will be. Sonicjay.com has been up for 7 years now. 7 years! When Hinks, Standy and I decided to drop the "team" deal, it was because we didn't want the "official-ness" of it, and wanted instead to get back to doing what we love: riding for riding's sake (and they'll continue to stunt, just without any official commitment for now). I feel like being Scooter Trash's manager would be contrary to this. So anyhow, I'll be getting back to my normal gig of being Sonicjay and getting all the local riders some exposure via my site with pics, videos, etc, and continuing to promote the professional teams from the area, and rock on with DSR!
Motor City Mayhem will return to it's roots as a general snapshot of ALL the riders from the Detroit area. So don't use those MCM shirts to wax the bike yet! MCM will represent all the riders around the area, not as an official riding club like DSR, or a team like ST or DV8, but as a general un-official thing. MCM is everybody and nobody in particular, kind of like M50M is with the Fiddys. It'll be especially geared towards the riders who've got some skills, but don't get much screen time on any of the websites, kind of how sonicjay.com has always been.
So, with that, I'll see everybody out there! If you see me or any of the guys, please come up and introduce yourselves (real name and screen names!)! Lots of times, guys have come up and said "Hey Sonic, what's up!" and I didn't get a chance to catch their names.

Re: The skinny on ST, MCM, etc
This turned out perfect. This way, everyone can feel welcome here on our board. Hinks and I are probably still gonna do a stunt team in addition to everything else, so don't count us out for comps and shows this summer...we'll keep ya posted, and I look forward to seeing everyone this year!!!!
Re: The skinny on ST, MCM, etc
Practice will be the word of the summer for me. I have some big plans for this year. I think we got a lot of the basics down last year, so now its time to see what we really got. I can't wait to ride!!!!!!!!!
