My brother in law had major surgery yesterday to remove a huge tumor out of a vertabrae, and is doing well. The tumor was eating away at the bone and putting pressure on his spinal cord. The surgeons removed the tumor, which is not cancerous!) and destroyed vertabrae, and built a new vertabrae out of borrowed bone and titanium. The surgery went very well. He's got a long road ahead of him though recovering and I'm sure he'd appreciate thoughts/prayers.

Well, Chris is doing great! He's up and walking around and should be home in a couple days!

 

He's home already! They released him this afternoon!

 

Chris has been home for a week or so now, and is doing good. He's a pretty active guy, so laying around the hosue is probably driving him nuts, but he's doing good otherwise.
