2004 or 2003 f4i, which is better?
2004 or 2003 f4i, which is better?
I just bought a brand spankin new 2004 f4i, just because I wanted "The New ****". I didn't really look into to much, but i see a couple differences between the new F4i's and the 2003 and older f4i's. There's a different seat on it
, it's a single instead of a double, which I kinda don't like, it's like the difference between a 600r and an R6 seats. I've heard it's got all types of improvements over the 2003's, and it's lighter, but the seat thing is kinda gay. Anyone have any input on f4i's?

change the tail to an 01-03 subframe should be the same. I dont like the 1 piece seat either. Unless you take long highway rides cuz it may be more comfortable.

but I think they cost to much cash for what u get. I may be mistaken but I think f4i are around 90 HP when all the others are close to 120 crank HP. Is it your first bike? Agreed those seats got to go. Re: 2004 or 2003 f4i, which is better?

I don't care about the power difference becuase that bike weighs 40lbs more than mine and my bro weighs 40 lbs more than me, so I can keep up easily. Also, I couldn't get financing on a yamaha without a co-signer, and honda hooked that up nicely. I think kawasaki's are second rate in looks compared to other bikes, but obviously that's just my
. The seat IS more comfortable, but how much would it cost to get that new tail section? I actually didn't want a gixxer because that's what EVERYONE'S got around here! I don't like to be like everyone else, even if they get a couple extra horsepower. And oh, mine was dyno'd stock at 99hp at the rear wheel. it's about the same with all 600's. Re: 2004 or 2003 f4i, which is better?
i love my f4i, the this loves to be beat. not the most power in the world but it has enough..the tail sections got to go though! do you have to change out the whole subframe or will the 2003 tail bolt right up? the 600rr, 636, r6 are all nice bikes but when you pay more for insurance than the ride you need a reality check...

I think the subframes are the same i may be wrong though. If they are just buy a tail and some seats off ebay probably looking at a 2-3 bills but it will look pimp.

The new ones (03-05') are comfortable but makes it kinda girly.

I am on my way to Iraq so when I get back I will be getting a 06 CBR600RR. I got a 95 F3 red/black right now that I have to part with....any takers? But I figure that the 06 will have a few improvements over the 05...as long as they can keep that black/silver paint I will be just fine! Of course I could always stick with the classic red/black. I loved cbr's ever since I was a kid. I just like they way they look and every year they seem to get better and better!

the subframe is different on the newer bikes 04, you can get the subframe on e-bay for around a bill, and depending on color and condition the tail is going to run ya between $150-$300 hundred for a good one, the entire prodject is probably 3-4 hundred if you buy used good stuff.

I just got an 01 f4i about a month ago.. the ****in thing rules. Sick engine braking. I've beat the ever living **** out of it every day for a month and no problems. Revlimiter burnouts, revlimiter coasters, getting it so hot it blows a gallon of coolant all over the place multiple multiple times and it keeps coming back for more. If I rode a gixxer like that I'd have already toasted at least 1 motor.
I rode a gixxer 750 for almost 2 years and I went through 8 motors in it. The f4i is the ****. Who gives a flying **** about horsepower anyways other than the cycleworld reading dorks? this is stuntlife not gooberlipsracerlife.com I like it so much I am about to get another one. And I am choosing the f4i over the 929.
