GSXR750 or GSXR1000

Guys,

i am looking into buying my first bike around November this year. it is going to be between the 04 GSXR750 or 04 GSXR1000. i want to know if there is a extremely dangerous difference between the two?? When i tell people my plans they say you might as well get the liter because in a few months you are going to want to go bigger. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP????????????????????

you dont need a liter bike.. i dont care what kind of riding your going to be doing.. if you a new rider you dont need a 1000 or a 750... id go for a used 600... it wont be too much power, but it will still stunt like a ****

I think that if you get a big bike first time out and respect its power enough before trying to stunt it, you will be fine. Power teaches respect and 600s lack that. My first bike was a 98 F3 and I loved it but after about 3-4 months, I hated I bought it. I ended up with a Busa about 6 years later, but I know that it wasn't good for a first bike. I have a minty 02 954 I will sell ya and I am across the state line from you.

save yourself the time and get the 750. dont get a 600. its a waste of time & money. respect the power, dont give a ton of gas when your leaned over and you will be good. YOU DONT NEED A 1000. the 750 is plenty power, great handling, and if you want the torque of a 1000 then gear it. you arent going to go 190 anyways so who cares if you lose some top end. i started on an f4, then f4i and now the 750 and i wish i would have got the 750 from the begining. DONT LET YOUR FRIENDS RIDE YOU NEW BIKE!!!!!
