sticky throttle

ok i ride a 95 RR and have a problem with my throttle bein kinda sticky, if i open it all way, it takes a second to slowly roll closed, whats wrong with, bad grips?? bent bar?? needs some lube?? anybody else have this problem??

Could be the grip is rubbin on the controls(on/off,start controls) or the bar end. I've also seen it happen from a bent clip on..looked ok by eye.
I've never lubed my cable at least my throttle cable on my 98..not that it couldnt be the prob. also check for kinks.

yeah i think the grip is rubbing, do i need a new grip or can it be rigged up somehow?? thanx for the advice

If it is rubbin on the control side just twist it off a bit..gonna be hard cuz the glue.
If its on the bar end just use a razor to trim the end of the grip off till she dont rub.

yeah i think ill take the whole thing apart and see what i can do, thanks for the help guys!

If you need to take the grip off, put it back on using hairspray. It'll lube the onward motion, then dry up quickly (unlike soap).
