Exclamation possible ebay scam

I found a GSXR 1000 for a flat $2800 in good condition. Just got done emailing this guy in Bulgaria about the bike he is selling and this is what I found. Check this out;

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEBWA%3AIT

I had seen the same add w/pics a few days earlier under a different name. I emailed the seller and within minutes the add had been taken off ebay, oh well, move on to the next, I thought. I researched this new add and found that he had three different bikes on there. An R6, a ZX-12 and finally the gsxr. All for $2800 each, a little odd. I thought it looked too good to be true so I asked about the history, got the VIN number and ran it and everything looked ok so far. I asked him to put me on the pre approved list for the sell so I could complete the transaction through ebay so I would at least have the buyer assurance protection. Then he told me he wanted me to Wire transfer the 2800 in three seperate payments to himself, his dad and his wife to an address in Bulgaria and then he would put me on the list, thus eliminating my protection. I ran the address and it came up as a Hotel! So I questioned that and finally denied it since it just sounded too damn fishy. I don't know if it is legit or not but just trying to spread the word.

Point is be careful out there and question everything!

Good luck

Re: possible ebay scam

The free shipping is a good sign its a fraud, the guy lives in england, and all his other bikes are $2800, dont do it, then pre-approved buyers thing is a good sign to, again I say, dont do it!!

Re: possible ebay scam

its BS cause i was looking at a few other 929 and 954 that had only around 900 to 2800 miles and after asking if they would take Pay-pal and the VIN# to run a check on it the acution was pulled and that was on four different ones.
