just curious....when your bike got stolen or someone you know that had their bike stolen , and had theft coverage on it, how long did it take to get the insurance money??

i hear its atleast 30 days to make sure its not recovered, but whats the actual amount of time it took you to get your check in the mail??? i've heard up to 3 months?? post up, thanks

 

took my friend 2 weeks and he had his $3500 in the mail (500EX Ninja)

 

what does the insurance go by as in how much to give you?? do they go by nada.com or what...and do they ask you how many miles were on the bike at the time it was stolen?

 

goto kellybluebook.com Figure out retail and then figure out trade in add the 2 together and then divide by 2 thats is about what you will get.

depends on your insurance company and the coverage you have, I hear some insurance has separate policies that pay your deductables too. But in most cases, yes... $500-$1000 deductable...
