Wow. I am suprised you guys are responding negatively to this. This movie is going to be putting some stunting out into the mainstream. If people see it and want to see more, then here comes the sponsorship and getting the stunting to blow up. I mean take skateboarding for example....alot of poeple would never even think of many tricks before "Gleaming the Cube" and now look where skateboarding is. I feel this could be a good push for the stunting scene. But that is just my opinion as a stuntung fan who does not ride...
But, yes there will be those who respond negatively to it just like street drag racing.

I agree with sheeshed that this movie will put the bullseye on Sportbikers just like Fast and the Furious put a bullseye on Street racers. True it will put us out there in the spotlight but what about all the negative feedback.

I think the movie will help some as long as no young punk goes out and just buys a 954 and runs right into a tree the nextday like alot of people did with the fast and furious.

my opinnion is it looks corny as hell! but it will put stunnin mainstream I think. and like CRZT said I know there's gonna be more than a few dumbasses go and buy bikes and try to do the stunts that they see on the movie and kill themselves, It'll give us a good image with the younger public but **** us up even more with the older! just my .02 cents.

I've tried to introduce stunting here and I like to think I'm doing a good job of it. But when this movie comes out, I hope it does poorly. I just know that if this movie comes out big, it'll have the same impact on stunting as The F&F did on import tuning. Completely bastardizing the sport, and twisting the entire image to fit their need to impress the opposite sex with lots of shiny things and flashing lights.

I have higher hopes for "Torque", but I hope "Biker Boyz" dies a horrible flaming death!

i agree with the BULLSHIT vote. if i did not ride or stunt it would probably be fun to watch. hell it may be anyway. just to chech out the bikes and see what they can do with wires clipped to their asses. i think it make more people think more negatively of us

above post is a joke...im not that big of a dick,if this movie does blow up stunting and sportbikes in general we will need motorcycle dealerships with a conscience, and refuse to sell 1g cc bikes to begginers that are teen guys trying to get a piece of ***.I HAVE TO GIVE PROPS TO ALL THE "REAL RIDERS"THAT DID DO THE RIDING IN THIS FLICK LIKE TEAMCALIBOYS AND THE REST OF YA.but personally i will watch any movie if it has a bike in it,so i mos def will go see this.i got caught watching black rain just cus of the bikes.it will be tight to hear sportbikes in thx surround sound on the big screen.

I think thats some serious Bullshit , All its gonna do is create another fast and the furious scene, where everyone in the world is gonna want a street bike after they see it, and there is gonna be little posers everywhere, and plus have you looked at the gallery on that site, talk about gay clothes....... Once this **** movie comes out its gonna go all down hill if its anything like what happend after fast and the furious, but hey who knows maybe it will put some of us stuntaz in the spot light, but i just think people will lose respect and i dont wanna be known as the kid that does that stuff from that biker boys movie........ idk about ne of you guys but this is prob gonna give us a badd name, But maybe it wont, maybe it will turn people on to the sport more, it could go either way

neone else feel the same?

I think some of you guys are reading into it way too much. The moive looks like it is going to be pretty bad ***! I am pretty sure that JT Holt did most of the stunt scenes is this movie as well.

I'm sure we will all get a big group of bikes together here locally and fill the theater on opening night.

I rate it:

okok..
#1 - This is bad. There are going to be new riders, flying through the cities at a billion miles an hour, giving the riders with common sense a bad name. Look what happened with F&F... before, police wouldn't bother us.. If we had a spot where we could chill it'd be fine, but then the group gets bigger, and you get dumbasses trying to showoff their non-existant skills, and someone gets hurt.. and now we do not have a place to chill..

#2 - It may be ok.. it'll at least be good for the motorcycle industry, and it'll come out at the right time of year, that it'll still be frikken cold up here, and I'll have to go see it.. and by the time spring hits, maybe all the people who are all pumped up from watching the movie will calm down.. maybe..

For me its like seeing that fat bitch with a gorgeous face....you just wanna go pork her but you don't know what kinda ***** gonna fall out.

To me i see "Furiously Rediculous" all over again. On one token, you have a hollywood cheesy *** plot line, stupid ties into the cheesy *** plot line, false info (like FF's 29 sec. 1/4 miles ), and an overall bad image (*to the older population*).

Like Big Rodg. said however...this is gonna put some serious chick-ka-bobs on the ole' skewer. Same thing is gonna happen that did in Fast and Rediculous, movie comes out, kids see it, then you have ever rice boy and his little brother putting a body kit on there stock civic. Every hot girl and her sister then flocks to these posers (nothing against the REAL import guys driving cars in the 11's and 12's) just knowing they saw that in "THE FURIOUS IDIOTS!" and all her girlfriends thought Vin Diesel was hot.

But with the previous point comes one other problem, the most major of them all. Its gonna bring some MAJOR squids into the industry, but these aren't your riced out honda civics. These are dangerous machines, bikes don't give a ****. They don't have airbags, they don't have seatbelts, and there isn't a ton of metal surrounding you. But they don't know that. Kids are gonna go out with mom and dads money (or god forbid their own), buy themselves a brand new GSXR-1000/CBR-954RR/R1/ZX-9R etc or hopefully some 600, go out on the nearest chick infested strip, try to jack some kinda wheelie they saw in "BikerBoyz" and kill themselves.

Me...I am 19 years old. I bought my first bike when i was 17 because i wanted a bike. Not because it was in some movie. Yeah I will prolly go see the movie. I may not like it, i may, who knows. The girls start coming, then thats cool, not like i am gonna have a conscience trip or anything like that. ****, i'll stock up on the durex now. You better believe though, i am gonna be one of those guys that is like "I was doing that **** before that movie ever came out"

Sorry if i was a bit long winded..anyways, peace.

Just my 2 cents...

If this movie is even remotely sucessful, it will put us on the map far more than we are now. Do you realize how many people have NEVER seen anything like us before??? My team meets hundreds of people every show that just cannot believe that things like this can be done on a street bike! They tell us all the time that it is the first time they have ever seen anything like this!!!

The Stunt community is very small, and very loyal to one another, but in general, we are unknown. In my opinion, the industry and its leaders (Impact, XFactor, Etc.) have not done a great job of getting our sport to the buying public as a whole! Yeah, it's in the bike shops, and on the internet if you know where to look, but it is not on the shelves at WalMart, Sears, Target or whatever big stores you have near you. It should be! I do not have the money or the means to do so, but the point is if they wanted to they could figure out how to get these products in the hands of MANY more people who do not know we exist. This is where this movie fits in! If people start buying the bikes, the gear, the cloths, that we wear, than the sponsorships will start flying! They will not go to the newbies, they will got to the guys and gals who where busting they butts doing this stuff before the movie ever hit! Import sponsorships went through the roof with The Fast and Furious, not matter how rediculous we think the movie was or wasn't. It became immediatly clear to the Import World that sponsorships to the right guys, would be the key to their sales success. I see this beginning to happen for us now, but it will only get better with the success of motorcycle movies and good quality stunt games in the mainstream!

Yes, I agree there will be NEW riders who run out and buy the biggest, fastest, and most dangerous piece of machinery they have ever owned, which inherantly will lead to accidents, deaths, etc. and we will possibly get a bad rap from it. (Can't be a whole lot worse than what the AMA is doing to us already...See Starboyz forum) But this is the road to success. Everything that has ever been truly successful has had to endure hardships and criticism, but it will only make us better if we as a stunt community stay together and work for the common goal! To have a chance to ride our bikes and be respected for doing it!

JAGMAN
