ding ding ding! and the winner is Jagman.....

I was wondering how long that was gonna take.....If you are a true stunter and do shows and dont stunt on the street every waking hour.....then this movie will benefit you

yeah we all know the BS and the repercussions, fast and furious crap blah blah blah.....look at the import scene now.... no seriously... if you think fast and furious "ruined " the import scene, you need to take a die hard look at it.

**** they had some "true life" Im a street racer crap on MTV last night

yeah MTV, what has the world come to?? If MTV called me and wanted to do a true life story on stunters I would tell them NO That way they we could stay underground!!

oh that is until a MTV exec sees squid #1 on the streets doin a wheelie, stops him, and does the story on him.... "next on True Life.... Power wheelies in traffic!"

all i know is yall better quit whining and rep yall **** to the fullest

either rep yall ****.... or park yalls ****, cuz we goin places... you gonna barbecue, or mildew, its your choice

More squids = more video sales, more fans in the stands
more video sales = more money, more sponsorships
more fans = bigger payouts, sponsorships, TV possibly....

so yeah, its probably gonna **** up the scene for a little bit for the average street rider, and may cause some unnecessary police attention for stunters... BUT IF THE POLICE DONT ALREADY KNOW YOU IN YOUR HOME TOWN, YOU OBVIOUSLY AINT STUNTIN HARD ENOUGH..... but when all the "biker boy" BS is dead whats left??

the people who started it, along with a grip of fans
them growin pains is gonna separate the strong from the wrong in 2003, watch

One question though...what if this movie flops? I mean if it does good, then sweet. As for the squids on the road, its all good, but let them try and roll with some more experienced stunters.

But if this movie just sucks ***** completely, what is it gonna do for the community as a whole? I mean now when i roll an endo or jack a wheelie past people they are like "Damn, i have never seen that before that was hot." After the movie if it flops..."Oh i saw that in that biker movie, it sucked"

Yes, the community as a whole is underground right now. IT would be awesome to bring it mainstream. With this movie, i don't know...

My problem would be if in the movie for some of the stunts they made them look fake. Like if they used suspension wires and harnesses and ****. I mean that just makes **** cheesy, and makes us look bad. I think thats what i am afraid of. The sport is such that you got so many crazy *** ****'s like Triple Xtreme, DTE, Crazy Dan, 1096, and other groups that are doing these insane reality defying tricks...why would you need to make it look fake? Now i don't know, but i did watch the trailer. There were some things in the trailer that left me sitting there like i hope thats not really in the movie.

I really shouldn't talk until i see the movie but i do have my doubts.

good question about it flopping!! I think it might be corny to us, but ok for the average joe, besides Dreamworks dont make shitty movies very often... and they are spending an *** of money on street level promotions.... and hopefully with the riders that did the stunts, they will look halfway authentic

all the **** people still talk about fast and furious would make you think it flopped too huh?.... mean while they are filming part 2 and using XXX to stunt in it...

it can go either way, but look at it from the point of view of someone who has only seen ruff ryder videos, and the occasional highway wheelie...... its going to inspire them more, and that is going to cause them to search the net and find sites like this, then find out about events.... then buy videos

and most of the general public who hooked up civics after Fast and furious were kids.... its a lot tougher for a 17 year old male to get a $10k bike, pay insurance and then ride wheelies, than it is for him to get a used civic (nice economy car, so mom thinks!) and buy a muffler, spoiler and rims. yeah its gonna happen, but its not gonna be as bad as everyone thinks....the danger doesnt lie in new bike riders..... the real danger is gonna be the current people who have bikes that dont stunt already, think about that, they are the ones that are gonna get all crazy and stupid.... and arent those the people we despise now anyways?? Hopefully, they will hook up with a good crew and learn to ride right

meanwhile, the groups that are serious about this and do it for a living are going to sit back and reap the benefits.....more sales, more fans, more paying shows, more recognition

Thomas,
Just wanted to say that while you and I don't maybe say it exactly the same...we are on the same page man!

This movie CANNOT do anything but good for the riding community! There is NO DOUBT in my mind that many of us that stunt regularly will think many of the stunts are "lame" or "fake" looking, BUT the majority of the people that go to see it will not know any better and will be impressed as HELL!!! How many guys have mentioned the crap that Tom Cruise did in MI2??? We hear it alot, not from the stunt community who knew it was fake, but from the mainstreamers who thought it was the coolest thing ever!!! We are doing that crap in real life, and people can't believe it!!!

I can't wait for that movie to come out! The mainstream will be diggin bikes like never before!!!

I have no issue with others opinions, and if I am wrong than I will be the first to admit it, but Thomas, and those who believe in the dream...I will see you all at the top!

You know what, I do see you guys as being right. The more and more i think about it, it will be good for the stunt riding community. Whether it puts it more into the mainstream or just gives all us stunters some serious *** to poke on.

I dunno, i think maybe i am too much of an analyzer in that i looked at the trailer and was like "Thats not how it is". Like I know we don't go up to other riders and say **** like "Lets race! or "I challenge you to stunting duel!" or some corney **** like that. To me thats not gangsta at all, thats just cheesy *** ****.

Hey...i guess what i would like to see the movie as is a hot piece with nothing but stunting the way it is, 12's, 50/50's, crazy stoppies, burnouts, and stuff that we see everyday. Just that, with the plot wrapped around that. I think i looked at it too much in my own interest rather than the general public.

They should have **** like this in the movie...now THIS is gangsta.

Hollywood

Wow! Hollywood discovered the Christ, the nac-nac, and high speed wheelies. To bad they think still think that people "race for money."

They do have 12's in the gallery. Check the last pic in there. He's doing a 1-handed 12 burnout.

At first I hated this movie. And chances are, I'll still hate it even after it comes out. But this little thread has taught me a few things.

1. It is a lot harder for 16 yr. olds to get bikes then Civics. What parent is going to say "No son, you cant have the civic as your first car. But you can have that Souped up Camaro." Like wise, (almost) no parents in the country will buy their kid a +1000cc sportbike. Most parents that I know of won't buy their kids dirtbikes!

2. Cops already give most of us grief. What's a movie gonna change? As someone already said "If the cops don't know you, YOU AIN'T STUNN'N HARD ENOUGH!"

3. More dumb kids may end up killing themselves trying to impress their friends. But isn't this Darwin's theory at work?

4. More cash and more sponsors. Not that we are greedy power-mongers, but it gives us the chance to continue to do what we all love.

5. More recognition No longer will we be held at a lower level (socially) then Hardly Ablesons. Maybe (and I'm dreaming here), we'll take over sturgis!

6. Last, but not least, and certainly the most important, MORE *****!!

7. Did I mention more *****?

Yes, the movie may suck. It may suck as much as The F&F. But the possible benefits outweigh the negatives. If we work to put a positive spin on the backlash from the movie, we all benefit. Then watch all the ***** in the parking lot of the movie theater just waiting for us to show up when "Torque" premiers!

Im sorry if i sound rude, lets start there. Well i was fortune enough to be a part of the Movie "Biker Boyz". Im not even that great of a ryder, I think personly I got picked becouse there where only a few white guyz in the movie. "Brendon Fehr, Kid Rock", Some of the ryders for those guyz where JonJon(wheelieboyz), Kevin Frasier (702Boyz), and myself. Other ryders included Wink1100, Tony, Iceman, Jt Holt, Jason Britton (who also did most of the stunts in Torgue). I mean those guyz are all great ryders, i mean wink1100 DMX video, 1 of the starters of what we do. My out look on it is, if you stunt, if you ride, whatever you do that involves streetbikes(YOU SHOULD SUPPORT ANYTHING FROM COMMERICIALS, MOVIES, VIDEOS, TOURS,CLOTHING, WHAT EVER IT IS SUPPORT IT.) Or else what are you doing on a website that was one of the first starters for us to have conversations like this. Dont get me wrong im a 50/50 guy i seen both sides everyone is intitled to an opinion. I hope the movie does well cause it supports what im a part of.
And dont get me wrong i was there so i became friends with alot of people and when i heard some of the names of groups and riders that they wanted but couldnt get them here cause there from East,.mideast, I felt so lucky to be a part of this. They had everyones video they new about every good ryder out there. and you know who you are.

Mike,
Thanks for giving us the insiders point of view! I am sure you know I am with you on this if you have read any of my previous posts! I am not the greatest rider on the planet either but you can be DAMN sure if they asked me to participate in any way, I WOULD HAVE!!! I honestly didn't even know about it before this thread?!?!?!

I hope the movie does well not only for you but all the guys trying to make it out there! There is a place for us, and this is just the beginning if you ask me!

Looking forward to checking it out when it hits theatres!

PEACE!

Talking one giant step for stunt-kind?!?!

1st of all, congratulations mike on getting to do something ive dreamed about doing for the last 15 yrs!! i cant d/l the trailer clips cause my internet connection sucks so i havent seen any of it yet-BUT- i think and hope some good things like a bigger following and better sponsorship could come from this movie...and if we get some bad press, well ***-em!! i think theres bad press about everything these days-they will get over it...
i just keep thinking that at some point we could have some televised competitions like the dirt bikes in the x-games and gravity games- that would be AWESOME!!!
i am stilll pretty new to the stunting thats going on now ,but ive been hanging ALL gear wheelies since i was young in the dirt and started doing christs in like '91 on streetbikes and im looking foward to seeing where stunting goes next and learning all i can.....
and for the ***** aspect, well i have def hooked up with some hotties riding but(gotta have a plan B;-) i have also been playing guitar for about 15yrs and i think that has the bike thing beat,or its pretty damn close anyways?!?!?!?!?!

oh yeah, f & f is THE BEST MOVIE OF ALL TIME so stop knocking it!!!!........j/k
later
sean

Dont get my wrong, i think that all the serious stunt riders in the video are bad *** and i give them all props, im not trying to be a dick about it because i know that there are alot of respected and great riders that where involved, its just that other than the people who ride, no1 else is going to know that caliboyz and everyone else involved where the people behind the helmets......... most kids are just gonna be like "DID you see that wheelie that kid rock did", or sumthing like that..... and i thought about it alot more then i did when i first posted and i really dont think that this will make a great impact with the posers of the sport, because like someone else said what parents are gonna let there kid go out and buy a gixa 1000, r1, 929 etc..... what this may do is this may make the sport bigger and give us riders who actually know what we are doing some more respect, but i also think that there will be alot more competition with the rich kids who have there daddys go out and get them a brand new bike and they will be trying to stunt and end up getting every cop around looking for us riders.... it has already happend 2 the imports they now known as the "Street racers" after FATF. i already get enough problems from heat, so i cant wait to see if this makes a difference... like i said, all the real riders in the movie who are stuntin and getting into movies i think thats sick........ awsome job..

but whats important is ill get alot more beaver :splat

Thank you everyone. Well im not sure what i feel so far about our sport. We have hatters and Lovers. What the hell is that about. We riders that hate other riders. We have competions that never work out. We ride and risk our lives everytime we do a stunt. I mean yes there is a little hate in every sport, but dont the people who do it, play that sport for a reason cause they love it. Like i said before, if your a stunna and you love what you do support it. Yes i got a great oppurtunity to be part of the movie, but i would have rather done like 2 months of shows instead of 2months of the movie. In the movies you get used, but hey now thats a part of it, but at shows, i mean your the star from start to finish. To be honest, i dont care about the *****, money, fame or any other bullshit that comes along. I ride for my group and my fans, i love the fans, they are what make me ride at the shows and on the street. I mean when you go out on a sunday film day and you go to your street and there are people, no familys out there with there kids and girlfriends and other friends now thats the ***** and they will sit in amazment and watch us ride. Thats why i ride. Hope i made a little sence

Thumbs up

WELL SAID MIKE!!! Don't get me wrong, I would have taken the opportunity to be in the movie if it was given to me, but you are right when you say being in front of "fans" and riding with your friends is the best part of the sport!

I just hope this sport allows for more ooportunities for everyone to do more of what they love!!! I felt the movie would help with the general growth of the sport, and I think it will!
