You're gonna need 2 switches. One for the headlight, and one for all the other lights. The easiest place to get to the wires is at the fuse box. Cut 1 wire from the running light fuse, and 1 from the headlight fuse. Wire the switches in those two circuits in series. Make sure to use quality switch and wiring on the headlight because it draws a good deal of current (maybe 25 amps) and a crappy switch will melt.

ummm .... it's easy as **** .... DONT make one for the front, cause you're probably gonna wanna see where you are going. Just hook a toggle switch to the actual wire that go to the bulbs themselves ....

makeshift to turn your front light off, i took one of my high beam wires and hooked it up to my middle light (normal running light) and left my high beams off....so now, on normal switch nothing is getting power, but when you flip the highbeam switch i have a headlight (only low beam).

nice for parking lot stunting at night when you don't want that nasty light all in your face and the camera. but you don't have highbeams. you could juse use a second switch for the tail light.

most of us down here have them for all the lights on the bike... I haven't done mine yet..

I actually got pulled over a few weeks ago and the first thing the cop asked me was if I had kill switches for the lights

I would just cut the low beam wires at the bulb socket and use only high beames. Then toggle the rear lights completely. Lost all of my blinkers the first day of owning my bike so I dont have to worry about them.

I did not cut into my wiring on my bike I made some mocked up fuses that run wires from fuse holders to my toggle switchs that control my lights. I must mention that the fuses that were in the fuse box are now in my wiring to my toggle switch. I just do not like hacking up my bikes orignal wiring.

I bought the switches to do this but forgot. Thanks for reminding me guys!

I'm going with the setup like MikeM said.

can't you just put the switch on the ground wire? brake the ground and you have no lights. this way you don't need a 25 amp switch for the head lights.

Re: light kill switch

yep on the ground wire idea...

as for my bike. I just have 1 switch to kill the tail and rear turns... I think I will steal the low/high beam idea.. thats bad *** for filming.. the headlight always puts our cam outta focus
