Good bike for MPG?

Looking for a bike that gets good MPG, easy to work on,

How much mpg are the KAWASAKI 250, Hondas rebel 250 etc getting?

If there getting lower then 60 mpg, then i am just gonna buy a Honda V65 1100cc Magna for the same price that people are asking for these bikes.. they reportedly get around 50-60mpg

i have heard people are getting 90mpg? Is that bullshit or not?

Re: Good bike for MPG?

My 2012 CBR250R gets 55-65MPG when I take it through the twisties. On average it gets 65-75 when I just cruise around on it to and from work. I had one tank where I got like 85 MPG though, but that was on a pretty long smooth and fast road plus some city.

I was debating the Kawi 250 but when I went to my local dealer they had two out on display, I went to look and the first thing I saw was rust. I pretty much looked it over for a second longer and left...went to Honda and bought my 250R a few days later. Loved it since I bought it!

Re: Good bike for MPG?

ANY bike will save you gas money compared to a car.. Even my 1300cc Stryker saves me gas money. Get one that you're gona most enjoy riding! One that looks the BADDEST to you. A few mpg drop will be worth it when you truly enjoy the ride.

BUT if you must, a Vespa will probably get you 100+MPG!!!
