financing bike?

My brother is looking to get a bike however he does not have the cash to buy one out right. Also he only has about 2 years of credit behind him. However his credit does show a history of on time perfect payments and an income of roughly 1500 a month for the last 3 years. He is having a hard time getting a loan without a co signer due to lack of credit. He has a credit score of 690 would he have a better chance of buying and financing from a dealership? Or does anyone know of any high risk loans with a higher interest rate?

Thanks for any input

Super I'm almost in the same boat. I havent applied for a loan yet. I am looking for referrals of lenders members have used to purchase bikes. Maybe this site can provide some guidance. http://www.motorcycle-financing-guide.com/. Good luck.

Re: financing bike?

Tell him to save some cash and buy one outright. He will save thousands on interest, insurance and depreciation.

Re: financing bike?

If you cant afford it outright, youll never be able to afford the upkeep. Buy one outright and save yourself the money.

Re: financing bike?

+1 buy it out right your gonna drop the bitch at some point and you dont want to be the guy making payments on busted **** you cant afford let alone afford to rebuild because you know your *** isn't going to pay for insurance let alone full coverage if your even having to think of financing... and if you do try to be that guy.. you will be working to drive the bike, just to pay the dam insurance payments.. i know a few guys who work here in Jacksonville for collection agencies they run across people trying to sell illegally **** they have financed who stop making payments all the time, just ******* their credit to all hell. don't be that guy..
