building a stand?

i dont have enough $$ to buy a stand, so i gotta build one ... anyone got any ideas ... i need it to hold up the front end w/o the forks on

Do you have a welder? I made one out of an old weight bench I got at a garage sale for $5.

I saw a picture of one made out of pipe and elbows. I am going to try and make one like it.

my friend made his rear stand out of threaded pipe from a hardware store. It resembles a race stand and it only cost 15$ to make.

I think hanging it is the best and cheapest idea. You could just use some tiedowns.

that's pretty sweet. Looks like you need somethin heavy tho to hold it down. if you had a way to bend those 90 degree elbows to like 30 degrees in ward, you would have it made in the shade

Actually the guy who made it said he just put the jack there just in case. He said he went and had the pipe cut shorter to lower the height of the bike and that would make it more stable.
