Re: 636 forks

i don't stunt a 636 but i heard they make noise, like a "tink-ing or ting-ing" when they are getting bad and flex before they are going to fail.

Re: 636 forks

I put the o5-06 forks on mine and they make noises still. I've talked to numerous people and have 2 buddies here who stunt 636's and they make noises as well. I don't think the problem is as bad as some think. Think about all the people who stunt and how many ride 636's and how many times have you heard about forks snapping, it's a small ratio.

i would agree with you...i jus figured i would look into this and if i can prevent a problem while im buildin this thing up i would...i need new forks sence the guy i got it from had this on the track he lowered the internals of the forks so i need to replace the bushing or get new forks..

Re: 636 forks

The problem is the thickness of the tube is relly thin. Fullthrottle makes sleeves for the bottom that go inside and make them strong. I machined two pieces of chrome moly pipe and pressed them in to be safe. I have stunted 3 different 03-04 636's and I have never broken a set. If you wanna roll super long endo's 10 front ends are a little better but lots of guy roll them on stock forks too
