im thinkin about trading my car 4 a 2001 r6. i was just wondering how many people live with just a bike.if i do this i wouldnt be able 2 get a new car till may

 

Well i have 4 biks and 1 car. But u never see me driving my car unless its snowing. And i live in south Louisiana, so imagine all the snow we get, LMAO....=-)

Just get a POS beater car for when it rains.

 

im in college now 2 so if it did rain or soming i could go without transportation 4 a day or 2

 

RAINS...WTF!!!!!!!.....Man down here it ALWAYS rains. So if ur not gonna ride in the rain. You might as well not even have a bike, hehe....Theres 2 excuses that ALOT of people down here like to use.

I agree with steelhead, youll probably regret it. IMO get a cheapy beater.

Don't do it.

Cons:

-You can't get grocerys.
-order and pick up take out
-take some hot **** to dinner. What girl wants to get dressed up and go on the back of a bike?
-You go somewhere, like the bar, and you have to worry about your gear.
-How do you buy anything, in general, and get it home?
-Rain. I don't care who you are, its a pain in the *** just to run down to the 7-11 on your bike in the rain.
-You have to leave your bike where ever you go. If its a piece, **** it. But i wouldn't wanna leave my nice bike outside the movie theater or nothin.


Ain't worth it, to save a couple bucks in gas.

And even people who say they ride everywhere, still have their car to pick up stuff.

 

dont get a car, get a pickup truck, any pickup truck!! you'll thank me when it happens

 

i rode all summer, drove literally three times until it snowed, dont regret 1 bit, you can do almost anything you can with a beater car for carrying stuff, just got to innovative, i can ride with 3 or more large pizzas and 2 2liters of soda no problem.

I agree with everything he said and u only save a COUPLE of bucks on gas. my gixer drinks it but she screams everywhere too!

 

u guys are so lucky to be able to ride all year long!! even if i could do that I would not be without a car or truck ( get a small truck!)

 

cheap beater cars are where it's at.

90 celica 'gt' over here... odometer stopped at 158k a while ago... speedometer stopped working too. leaks fluids from everywhere but still runs..and the pop up head lights work woot!

 

for the last three years i had nothing but bikes and would borrow by bros truck. now i got two bikes and my bro and i share a car. i had a truck for about a week but it flipped in the rain!
