Honda 919 a valid stunt bike?
Honda 919 a valid stunt bike?
Anyone know if the Honda 919 is a valid stunt bike? I read an article in april 2002's CycleWorld (I found it under the couch here at the Amrory). They said it has a 101 hp fuel injected 900rr motor, and the semi-undertail exhause looks HOT as hell. Anyone ever seen one stuntin it up? Hook me up YO
In australia this is called a hornet.
Its basicly a detuned fireblade engine in on open frame.
More or less what you would get if honda made a factory
street fighter from a fireblade.
I know i dude down here who's fitted some aftermarket
go fast bits, dropped the mirrors, turnsignals and all that.
Its stunts hard all day with ease, due to better seatin
possie and higher bars.
Give it a blast man.Less fairings to kill if ya f#%kup .
Catch ya Oj

i heard that bike was like the ultimate hooligan bike, I was talking to a kid who worked at a honda dealership when they came out and said they were really bad ***, A 900RR but retuned and fuel injected.. i like the street fighter look on that bike, A few companies make really cool exhausts for it
two bros has a combo where one can is empty and ment for storage

It's got AWESOME power down low and comes up without a problem. Just dont break anything or you'll be buying new parts from honda........ $$$$$
Yep, biggest determining factor will probably be ease and price of replacing parts that get smashed off while stunnin. For that reason alone, I'll probably buy a 900rr. Maybe do a 919 motor swap, get the PGMI-FI motor and have the first CBR919RR. whaddya think? ERIK

PSST. 96-99 900RR's came with the 919 motor. But they are not fuel injected. the 93-95's have the 889 motor.
that is your lesson for the day
919's are cool, but the stock exhaust really sucks even though it looks cool. You can't hear the bike, and if you do hear it, you wish you didn't. First thing I'd do would be to put some cans on that thing.
not so good from what i read
what ever european mag big dave from the starboyz writes for had a good article when they first came out. he was super un-impressed by it. barley clutch it up in second. i have only sold one since they have been out and the guy is the opposite from a stunter so his feed back is useless. anyway i think you have alot better options out there.
