Buying an 03 ZX6rr

Well im picking up an 03 ZX6rr tomarrow... Just wondering how much of a different it is than the 636?

Does pretty much every part fit the ZX6rr?

I always here about the 636 and how good it is... But never hear anything about the ZX6.... How do you like it?

Re: Buying an 03 ZX6rr

I guess the only difference would be just the 37cc drop in power.

Re: Buying an 03 ZX6rr

I think there is a major differnece between the 2. I'm not a big fan of the slipper clutch on the 6RR, the handling is different, and the power is different. My buddy has an 03 6RR and I have an 03 6R and in my opnion the 636 is a WAY better bike...

I love mine and it responds very well to modifications. It also handles better than the 636 and the slipper clutch is great. I'm pushing around 107hp at the rear wheel and I don't give anything away to any 600.

Re: Buying an 03 ZX6rr

I had both the 636 and the rr then got the 04 gsxr 600 and the kaw's are weak compared to the gixxer so I sold em both. I also didn't like how you sit/feel on the kaw. seemed like it makes you sit high in the air.

That's funny since I seem to beat every gixxer 600 I run into. I've also outran a gixxer 750 in the twisties although he did pull on me on a straightaway(not as much as he thought he should though). I will say that I think the gixxer 750 would be the perfect bike for me but I'm a Kawi man. I will grant that the riding position on a 636/RR is much more focused than any other 600.
