Brake Question

Yesterday my bike decided to drive itself into a cable box at about 10 mph. And it got tired and feel on its side after hittng the cable box on the right side. So I got right back on cause it was my turn to ride and no front brack pressure. I will build it up with 2 quick squeezes and its alright for about a second. Whats up with this air in the brake lines resevoir is filled and no leakes from the brake line. Thanks for the help

If there was a bit of air in the top of the reservior then when the bike fell over it is possible that that air got mixed up and into the line. Could take some time to work it out and have a constant feel again or maybe just bleed the line and it may fix it all.
Even if you don't know how to do it, a shop won't charge much to do it for you. It doesn't take long to do.

Good luck.

I had this problem too. If you can pressurize it and it works for a little bit, then you roll a bit and then you got nothing, it is most likely a bent rotor. That was my problem anyway. Put it on a stand and spin the front wheel, you should be able to see a wiggle in the rotor or hear the bent part pass through the caliper. Hope this helps.

I had a similar accident to that, but it was a sprinkler controll box. What had happened to mine was the master cylinder piston had been jarred bad when the brake handle dug into the ground. The result was damage to the walls of the master cylinder which let pressure by. it had deformed some of the seals as well. To make a long story even longer, I had to replace the master. I do agree with RANSOM, check the rotors. They can not take a good hit from the side, hell they warp if you leave then sit on their side for too long.
