Fast blinking blinker??!
Fast blinking blinker??!
I put some flush mounts on my gixxer and the left side wont stop flashing fast, I have switched the wires and anything else you can think of and I have it grounded good.It is really gettin on my last nerve, mainly cuase I cant fugure out why in the hell its doin it and I am not sure if its gonna blow something if it contiues to do it.Any thoughts?????
The reason you are getting the fast blinking is because you flasher is expecting your new bulbs to draw more current. If you want to keep the bulbs that are in your new turn signals, solder a resistor into the line. This will “trick” the circuit into thinking you are still drawing the same amount of current. Resistors are available at any electronics shop and only cost a few cents. If you don’t have a tool to test resistance you may have to try a couple of different resistors. This will stop the fast blinking problem.
If you are unfamiliar with electronics, another solution is to change the flasher itself. This is quite simple and any standard flasher available at Wal-mart should do the trick. Be sure to bring your old one with you so you can match the connector.
Hope this helps!

resistance
Yes mine do the same thing i have a 01 f4i ....The blinkers blink fast because of the resistence... you computer is picking up the the differnce in current telling you that somthing is not right. but it should not hurt anything
