Hi Hoges, Welcome to stuntlife, I'd be happy to pay $50 - $100 depending on the surface, Hot mix would be the GO, must be flat, if u had a surface 40 - 60metres in width and 400 - 1000metres long that would be sweet.
I be happy to trave 3 hours any direction from canberra.
I could get around 5 people to show from my area maybe more..

Hey Guys,

I met one of you @ the Sydney Motorcycle Show, sorry I cant remember your name, but I spoke to you about putting together an Australian Stunt Riding Film.

Well Sunday July 4th, we are going to start filming. I have contacted around 20 individual riders so am hoping for a turn out of between 20 - 30 riders (if people bring there friends along). I will have around 3 cameras rolling and am going to talk to some magazines about coming down and getting some photos and writing an article.

If your interested in coming, basically I need you name, location and phone number. The majority of people wanting to ride in a location will determine where we will be riding and filming. So let me know asap.

Hope to hear from you soon, Daniel

Think about it - if a guy said "hey I am going to do a video on illegal street drag racing" would you wanna be in it?? I guess not

If we all got together and hired somewhere legal...yes
I heard today there is tar down at Oran Park behind the offroad section where a dragstrip was gonna go????Anyone know for sure?

yeah, there's a decent length strip (at least 400m) that leads to the skid pan

Re: Aussie Stunt Vid

Ask your local drag strip to use it for free (or a small cost) in leiu of being a volenteer at track meets at the strip. It works here in Townsville....

Re: Aussie Stunt Vid

Hey guys,

Was talking to Bender today... I am the guy wanting to put together a Stunt Film! Its good to read what everyone has to say (not being sarcastic either). I will give you an idea of what I have planned.

1st: I have only started stunt riding and same as most people who have just started (and some guys who have been doing it a while also), have no where to ride and no clue whats going on (sport wise).

I am planning a trip to the USA to film some stunt riders over there and want to include Australian riders in the finished film. This is for 2 reasons, 1 because I am Aussie and want to see other Aussie Riders... and 2 cause I love the sport and want to try and help promote it in Australia!

Lets face facts, anything that gets approval is strong in numbers, so if by getting some Aussie Riders on a film and then getting heaps more aussies interested in riding, you a bound to get somewhere to ride (I am hoping anyway).

2nd:

I love filming... and because I aint the best rider, I like to film others doing it... offer my services so to speak. I am not going to deny that I am looking to make some money, but its only going to be little in comparison to the hours that I put in! I work full time, and am looking for a second job (to help get things rolling)... I have started my website, www.blackmarketfilms.com.au to help make stunt riding DVD's become more readily available without some schmuck trying to palm them off for $45 dollars or $50 dollars!! Its been a pain trying to orgainse the site... but hopefully it will one day pay the bills (as well as the filming) so I can ride, or do whatever!

I suppose there is no need for a 3rd, cause that about covers it!

So if you guys are interested... mind you I am trying to work out a way to try and help any stunt rider get paid to ride... so I am talking to sponsors... I am looking for riders to travel with me if I go interstate to film and hopefully if I can get enough sponsorship money... get some Aussie Riders to ride in a US competition, which is another future plan!

You can stick to the individual thing, even in small groups, but I think thats a selfish way to help a sport... So like I was saying to you today Bender, I am keeping a lookout for places to ride, if I hear of anything I will let you guys know.

By the way, I do care what you guys think of me, but that doesnt mean that if you think I am a ******, especially cause of my last name (been coping **** for it since i can remember), it aint going to stop me from trying!

So let me know what you think, GOOD or BAD!

By the way... I am looking for a bike, if anyway knows of any, please contact me!

Cheers,
Daniel

Oi Dude, Sorry about bashing Ur name, wasn't at u just how life is, I got a weird first name that people can’t say and I just laugh at it. If I did offend u it wasn't intentional.

Do you remember all that **** on the news about that dude from Tawomba who was riding his GSXR standing on the tank with out a shirt on, everyone needs to keep and eye out cause if they wanted to bend a rider over then all they would need is a litlle footage. and we are F$%^ed.

Best of luck for tomorrow’s weather it’s the best day of the week to be up on one.

I will let you know when we get something definate, I might even approach the gunning Shire and see if they will let us use their roads for 1 day there a bit of hot mix there, last time we had agreed with a price of $55 p/h

I let you know.
