Having Darius ride was already in the pipeline because he was going to tour with Crusty and this was organised months ago.I just got a bike together for him to ride..I dont really think iam good enough to charge people to see me ride, But I will always give it my best as for doing anything to help others out iam all for..I dont have a stunt group or side kicks i organise my events to raise awarness for M.S Society and invite some riders to come for the cause... I nave plenty of respect for Matt as he is one of the best stunt Riders arround...But with everyone having a go i think undercutting shows will happen more & more as riders will doing anything to get on a track infront of a cheeering crowd, just make sense lets face it we are all a bunch of show off's..Later

That's all so true Dave!
I got into this **** cause i love riding, pushing the envelope and having a ****** good time while i'm at it!
I say good luck to all you guys who are putting on shows and making a living from riding!
But, in my reality, i ain't never gonna have enough self control to go pro with this ****, i just have to push myself to my limit every time i thumb the ignition. I crash and have fun and i love that ****!
But if i had the skill and control to go pro with it it seems like all the politics of being a pro stunt rider would *** with my head too much anyways! Good luck with your shows and i really would like to see ya ride at one of these shows soon.
But for me............i'll just be doing my thing on quiet roads and having fun with no dramas, hopefully, (FTP!!!!!!!!!!!)!
But if you need any fluffers on the Crusty tour.........Let me know!

Re: Bikefest April 16
This whole issue is a touchy subject. With more and more new stunters popping up daily and the limited number of events to do shows at, undercutting is a given.
Don't get me wrong I like Matt and we get on pretty good but It's easy for him to sit back and criticise people for doing shows on the cheap when he has it so good. He and Robby have tied up the majority of well paying events here in Australia.
Now there are a lot of riders out there just as talented as Matt and Robbie but can't get the opportunity to do shows and boost their profile, and unfortunately the only way these riders are going to get to showcase their skills is to get in front of a crowd even if it means undercutting.
It's hard for me when I'm asked what to charge for a show because there are no guide lines. Now riding for something is better than riding for nothing. I don't want to undercut anyone but I also don't have the profile that someone like Matt has so If I try to quote what he quotes then I'm going to be told politely to f*#k off. And to be honest I wouldn't even know what other people quote for themselves. So my best option is to send the event manager a showreel, quote what I think will get me on the track and when he sees that I have got the skills to perform he'll hire me. Then as my profile grows I can ask a lot more. It's as simple as that.
Personally I'm looking at other avenues to boost my own profile as well as the sports, because you think of the best paying gig you've had, now pretend that you land yourself 20 more gigs like it. Still not exactly enough money to go pro is it. So you got to think competitions and DVD sales. So doing demo shows now becomes a means to make more money in other avenues, that's if you can get on the track in the first place.

We got a "You guys are sh*t!" at a show from Robbie Bolger and apparently thats because he thought we were doing the show for free and they missed out on some loot... I don't know the whole story as to who was originally asked to do the show and what money was involved there, but we got paid and we didn't have any other knowledge of the Donut King's performing stunts... I think it was a real jerk off thing that Bolger did and it was unprofessional to say the least. But a lot of what your saying is right and I think the Donut Kings, or whatever they call themselves now have to realise that they are going to lose some shows to competition whether they like it or not!
Anyway as things progress we will see how it all turns out, I guarantee you are going to see some serious change in a lot of people wants money gets involved!!

What we need to do instead of fighting each other get together! whats the point in starting a team if you have to ride against each other? What we want is another challenge against riders in OZ.. Theres just not enough money in the game doing it as team only unless it's just you and a mate.Just like Cam said.....Iam going to spend some $$$ the 2nd Moto Freestyle is just arround the corner and FTP STUNTERS is gonna call you ****'s up...hahahaha
peace!!! Re: Bikefest April 16
What a unsitely can of worms that has been opened!!
lots of interesting views on it all.
the thread that was quoted by myself was a reply that i was made on a question of why were we so called "arrogant" (mainly Robbie).
on the topic of the Crusty show, Allan Morrison rang me and asked if i was availible to do the Crusty show, i asked how much he was getting he replied $3000.
i then said i would do it for the same. the third rider was not yet decided but probly going to be Robbie. Allan then rang me the next day to say it was all good and going ahead.
two weeks after that conversation i heard we were dropped. and promoter said some guys were doing it for nothing, i then read a couple of forums and found out who.
Now i think Mr Crusty promoter is tellin a few tall stories.
I have absolutely no prob with healthy competition and love to see the sport get massive.
Cam is a good mate and no stage have i slagged the guy, he has came leaps and bounds ahead of every rider in oz. and after conversations in the past i believe he would not do things for free.
As for charity events, i think that is great Dave, we do around 4 a year aswell.
but we also make sure the promoter pays the fee to the charity we are workin for. Which i have no doubt MS must be getting alot of money from you by now from the many charity shows you been doin.
No hard feelins boys, especially you Cam. Just Gimme a call Cam if you here **** hey.coz there is so so so much **** in all these forums. he said she said blah blah blah.............
We should ALL get together and F#*K the promoters over rather than ourselves..

Not that I'm entitled to an opinion, but forums like this one aren't being used the way they should be. If it was a perfect world and we were all working together, we'd be posting up the gigs we get to kinda let everyone know that we're booked in (in other words, back off sucka
). Unfortunately, everyone seems to have to almost "defend" their gigs due to a fear of being undercut...That being said, its obvious that everyone's intentions are pure and no one's in it to screw the other, so its all good
