cr125.... i was hitin' 100ft gaps on my **** :YEAH all you need is suspension and bars to do what everyone does on a 250.

i dont like the cr125 the have a lack of power period get a kx125 it will beat the **** outa a cr125 i do it all da tim to muh friend i have a 03 kx125

After you work out the valving you will have to fix your steering problems. I hear they understeer alot turning right.

get the 125 because i race and i clear doubles.
um i would say get the four stroke they r killin the 2 strokes in everything i would suggest the ktm 125sx if u get a 2 stroke or maybe a rm125. the ktm needs suspension work i would no lol.
good luck stay safe um i am sort of a quick learner i never freestyle i only can whip n thats hard.

cr 250.. i just bought another one [this is my second one] and i cannot say enough good about it.125's will jump just about everything a 250 will.it is just what you can handle and what you are comfortable on.

if you like whips get a 125, it will be lighter and easy to throw around.

they didn't ask how long you've been riding, they said RACING. my sister has been riding dirtbikes since she was 12, so that's 6 years, doesn't mean she could even get on a 125 at all...riding and racing are 2 different things.

and if you are hitting 65' gaps with your 85 *cough* then why do you think it's hard to hit them on a 125? why would you want to go much bigger than that. Most gaps in freestyle are like 50' mostly, you go for height for tricks....duh

get a 250f or a 125..... either will do fine unless you have alot of experience then go with the 250.
