Read this if your new to fmx

I've been seeing a few of the same threads on here latley. hey all ask about what bike to get and how to get into freestyle. First off, it's not as easy as you may think. It will take a couple of years, unless you become a usless ramp robot that can only hit a ramp at 60 ft.

I want to clear something up also. Freestyle motocross is NOT STUNTING.
it is freestyle motocross, fmx, or freestyle mx. Stunting is what you do in a parking lot. Freestyle came from racers just going out to play ride and pushing their limits. If you haven't seen Crusty demons of dirt 1,2,3 and moto xxx 1,2,3 and SMP's Disturbing the peace then it should be manditory to wach them be for anyone gets into freestyle. ( that was a joke but you should wach the flcks so you know where the sport came from)

Now as far as bike selection you need to pick the bike that feels right to you and one you can afford . 2 or 4 stroke can be used, hell listen to the name of the sport... FREE STYLE... I posted a thread on how to get started in it, so check it out. I don't want to sound like a jerk but I've been in the sport since it started and I want to help, but I've seen a lot of replys that may not be the right ones for the questions being asked.

as far as getting started...as its been already stated you may be lucky enough to find someone who has a compound, but it still all falls on you in the end. But most riders are usually pretty nice and helpful.

Me personally Im lookin for a CR250...long live the 2 smokers lol
