I just got a call from the guy who owns our Orlando compound today. He had gotten a nasty voice mail from someone complaining about us riding there. The person had gotten a few complaints and is part of the zoneing comishion. Long story short the land is zoned resedential and we need to shut down. It sucks because it was a good spot to bring noob rider's wanting to get better. So I guess this weekend is our last session out there. I'm going to try and get some good pics. It just sucks that this subdivision was built AROUND a spot that was there for a while. Any trick pic requests. And be serious with them. I can't do flips.

 

What? That sucks. If its on someone's personal property and they use it for riding not income (people dont pay to ride all the time), can they shut him down? I would think you can do whatever you like on your own property. Even with the noise, I think they legally cant do anything if you ride during decent hours and there are not 50 people riding at one time.

 

that sux for sure man... ive been kicked out of a badass spot for the same reason before. some ******* moves in and doesnt want to hear the bikes so they complain... def. sucks man...

 

I think your right...Nothing can be done...except those zoning board people are complete *** holes....Small *****'s and like to stretch the zoning laws.....no criminal stuff only fines from the city....but they all can be disputed in a court...

Reyals Bemus, I'm just really getting back into fmx and except for the 80fter the jumps at the compound aren't big enough to REALLY EXTEND. I'm waiting for my friend to get his tractor back so we can make the landing for my ramp bigger.


it's fine if you just jump it and maybe do small trick but it needs to be taller and longer.

City officials and zoning officials LOVE to TALK BS but when it comes down to actual enforcement unless certial conditions are present their threats have NO TEETH to bite you...

Speaking from expereince here...In the Law and how city code/zoning operates....

Make sure you put up a fight you may be suprised.

 

my buddy used to race atv tt style. had a small track mainly for setting up purposes. on his own land, all permits, legally licenced for 50 people, but never more than 3, no lights so only in daylight hours. in the country so db lever was way under allowed amount. and damn hippy as yankie neighbors suied him over a nuisance and won 125,000 dollar in lawyer bills and he can't ride a any motorized vehicle on his own land. its
but we burnt there house down so its ok now still can't ride on the land but no more neighbors

 

lol... I found out the proporty is also in forclosure. I thought about buying it but it is far from where I live and I just can't afford it now.

 

It would be nice to get a couple people together and buy a big piece of property to build a big compound. And buy all surround lots, so no one else can build a house close enough to hear anything. This is all in fairy tale land.... of course.
