rm125 powerband problems

rm125 powerband problems

my friend has a 1997 suzuki rm125 and the powerband sux as a matter of fact i dont think its even working does any1 no how 2 adjust the powerband on this bike

What powerband do you have? I bet it's the green one which is for trail riding. Swap it out with the red one and you will be set.

Red or gold powerband is the only way to go on that bike.

u guys are all a$$holes! LOL


Get a shop manual, 2-strokes are easy to work on. it might just need to be freshened up, new rings, clean powervalve, etc...


get on a dirtbike site and post up, you'll get a lot of help.

It sucked a Ring and has low compression <<<<<<<<<<<<NO *****

i can't believe no one even mentioned that he could change the narps on that bike ..

it cuts down on the cylinder reversion and makes the power band feel like a kick in the back

after you rebuild the top end you would be crazy not to change the narps ,and you should get the hardened ones i think they are titanium there a bit pricey but last forever compared to the stock ones

I wish brutha! Saving my time off so i can hit stuff in the spring! Maybe this summer or fall i can make a trip down!

I'm jealous of you guys right now though, 17 degrees this morning... rode the past two weekends though.

While he's at it he might as well get titanium muffler bearings, silicone blinker fluid (yes on a dirtbike) and hard wire up a new flux capicitor...

If i had the time i would appreciate that call... honsetly i would feel way too bad for him and end up helping him for hours and not getting any of my stuff done...

Seriously though... he needs a clear annodized oblong rotator splinf... u know, for the valve train...........

just straight e-85 would make it run better.....those came with flex-fuel systems right?
