Re: RM125 or the CR125

i have two rm125's and if you're looking to ride trails at all, then go with a 4-stroke, there are times when you get yourself in places where a 2-stroke will foul out if not properly maintenanced and tuned(and ridden). RM's power is a on and off switch. My advice to you would be to go with a 4-stroke honda no matter if it lacks a little power, there's always mods.

Re: RM125 or the CR125

ive got an rm125 03 model, ive had it for a year now, and i totally recomend them. Ive never had any problems with it, and have ridden it round some tight woods where i live, and i loved it. But for just wood riding i would get the KDX you mentioned or similar, as its got a KX250 lump in it, and is fast, and isnt prone to seizure or melting as quick in the woods than an MXer.
But if you want MX, get the RM!

Re: RM125 or the CR125

my honest oponion.... Yamaha. Crazy wide powerband, really rich in the middle good overrev, and doesn't bog like my 2 buddies RM's do, one of them even has added weight to thier flywheel to keep that engine turning, but I still beat them out of tight turns.

Why a 125? just general question is all

Oh too stay on topic. Go with Honda/Yamaha, I shine away from Kawi and Zuki...

I've owned when I was younger a DS80, and a RM125. I now own a YZ250.

Do some research on the 99-2000 Yamahas 125/250, it pretty much owns.

If I was buying bike to ride in the woods, race or stunt I would have to the Yamaha 250f. It is a all around bike. Great low in power and on the high side.

Take your time and do your homework.

Haha, a heavier flywheel and a 125 go together like a KKK member and jesse jackson.
