Am I too big?
Ive had a YZ125 for about 2 1/2 years now. And it really hesitates to haul me around. I am 6'2" and weigh 290 lbs. The bike REALLY squats when I sit on it, and I have to keep the revs high on it. I know Im too big for this bike. But I was wondering if a 250 would have trouble with me too. Should I get a 250, or try messing with the suspension and do some mods to the 125? I dont really race or stunt it. I like riding out in the desert and riding in the woods, if that helps any. I NEED a new bike, I look like a giant riding tricycle when I get on this thing. I wish I knew someone with a 250, so I could see if that helps any.

Ive been riding for almost 12 years. But Im a bit worried that might be a bit too much power. Considering the biggest bike Ive ridden is a 125. What about a 250 four stroke? Maybe a YZF250r, or a CRF250r?

If I were you I would upgrade to a bigger bike. Try an xr400 or up for ur desert riding, crf450 would be nice also but cost more. Im 6'2" 225 and the 125 just doesnt cut it, I needed a 250.
Ur talking about keeping the 125 reved high, thats really normal...most people that ride those keep them pinned..lack torque. But I diff. think in ur case by my own experience u need a bigger motor for ur size.

I think I might just sell my YZ and my 400ex, then buy a new quad. Maybe a trx450r. Or I could just mod the hell out of my 400ex with the money from the YZ.

Yeah, but I cant really afford another dirtbike. I could probably get about $1500 for my 125, but then I would have to sell my quad so I could afford a bigger bike. I think Ill just mod my 400ex, or sell it too and buy a new trx450r.

LOL, thats actually going to be my graduation present from my whole family. My dad, mom, sister, grandma, and brother are all chipping in to get me a 636.

Heh, It will be the ONLY expensive thing Ive ever gotten from my family. So dont think Im spoiled. If I want something, I have to buy it. Including my clothes.

quite the opposet for me.....im wanting a job so i can save up and buy a bike...but noing my dad and his new job he might go buy it and bring it home....but they always use it against me later....so...
