i got a yz250 and im probly not going to take it out until the spring so wats the best way to store it. i asked some people about putting stabil in the gas but nobody knew if it was ok to use in a 2 stroke engine. if anybody could give some insight on how to store a 2 stroke bike. thanks

 

drain the tank and the carb pump tires up change the trans oil. thats about all.

 

but wouldnt the seals dry up on the carb

 

I start the bikes every couple of weeks in the winter never had a problem

 

maybe if you let the bike set up for 20 years but it is a yamaha so it only takes a minute for it to break ...jk.. no the seals will not dry out at least i have never seen that happen an i have been around motorcycles for a while

yea i know it sux in teh city everytime i take it out on the streets i got liek 5 cops behind me its crazy.

 

damn that must suck....you should move down to southern cali, you can ride year round so you dont have to worry about some bullshit like putting away for months at a time :YEAH
