In terms of sticking with the 250 can you help me try to understand when I will be ready for a 600? I have ridden my friends Ducati Monster, which I know is very different than like a gixxer 6 but I can handle it pretty well and responsibly. Any tests you can think of that will prepare me, i.e. how much room do you need to take such and such turn etc... thanks!

There's no real test, when you feel you're ready for it then go for it. There's plenty of room for you to improve your riding on any bike you're on, the 250 included. You just have to be responsible enough to ride within your limits and not use the bike's limitations.

I'll run into you sooner or later. I grew up in that area, so I make an apearance once in a while.

Around 6. I saw both of you. I was on the yellow and black 929, on my way to autozone. I had a bunch of stuff to do otherwise I would have grabbed you for a ride.

Wink Re: Newb here can some people help me out?

my question for u is what type of rider are u aspiring to be??? stunter? racer? cruiser? thats what u need to look at dude. ask yourself what u can handle and be honest to yourself, if u think u can handle it, go for it. as for speeding around on roads, bad idea my man its too much of a risk. i dont care if ur the best thing since sliced bread dude, its not ur skill that will get u killed, its other motorist lack of respect for motorcycles. one of my friends died this year because a cage pulled out infront of him and he wasnt speeding. he hit the side of the car and went into oncoming traffic. we are talking about someone that could do 180 stoppies and circle wheelies. he knew his stuff man. just be careful is my message man, ur too young to live in a box or be a burgerman. take care bro.

I haven't been up to the bars much in years there. I grew up in Londonderry. I'm up there from time to time. I think I have your number still. If I'm around this weekend I'll hit you up.
