They imported that car rally cars. they have been running a few in the past, and there are quite a few guys out in rally racing land that have evo IV's and race them in the states. They are allowed here because they are "for race only".. Bret (rallygrafix) knows more about this than I do though.. he does their graphics.... visit www.vtcar.com for more info and pics

Re: EVO IV in Colchester lastnight!!
Yes you are correct it was a right hand drive EVO IV, It was imported years ago by a guy in New york and then recently sold to a guy I race with (Eric Lee) he's from Maine, and actually considering selling the car once its problems have been taken care of. The car was down at VT Car for repairs, they apparently come with some kind of "anti yaw" system, that transfers power around the wheels to help straighten the car from a slide. These cars have been importable for Motorsports use only for a while, but I guess there are some loop holes you can go through to get a road version here and registered. I have heard its not cheap though. The EVO VIII's you see running around were the first evo to be sold in the US.
The Subaru's you saw in the shop were Probably both 2004 Blue STi Group N Cars, but I havent been down there in a little while to see what they are up to. Travis Pastrana actually rolled that car at Pikes Peak back in June and im sure they were just finishing getting it all repaired. The photo Below is Travis Pastrana and the car with this years, "urban assault" graphics pattern.

They have'nt had any rentals go out for the past 2 rallies. Travis Pastrana actually rolled that car at Pikes Peak back in June and im sure they were just finishing getting it all repaired. Yeah im not 100% sure of the years on the cars, I know the Blue one with the new headlights is an 04, Im not sure what the other car down there is, its probably just a customers car they are working on. The 03's can actually be face lifted to look like 04's, new headlights, bumper cover, hood and fenders.

By the way forgot to post to whoever was interested in the EVO IV, Eric said that along the drive back to Maine he couldnt wipe the **** eating grin from his face as a WRX tried to go with him, and he blew the doors off of it. So isnt really looking to sell it after all. But If it were to come down to it at some point he mentioned they are going for around 18-25k on ebay from time to time, and thats what he'd be looking to get.

Re: EVO IV in Colchester lastnight!!
their is a guy here in jacksonville with a late 90's Skyline R34 , right hand drive and all that good stuff, everyone thinks its the hottest **** around. the guy goes to the track and just parks it, he wont ever race anyone with it, the guy with the fastest import around here has a Supra running mid high 9's and is always trying to get him to race him but he never will....prolly cuz if he loses all his hype will be out the door!
