General information about everyone--->

Hey all,
I'm just trying to find out some information on how you got started in quad stunting and the like. Here are a couple questions you may feel free to answer if you want to.

1. How long have you been stunting? (stunting doesn't include learning how to ride wheelies, which is where I'm at right now and I definitely don't consider myself a stunter)
2. How old were you when you started learning? (This can include wheelies)
3. What was the first trick you tried? (besides a wheelie)
4. How often did/do you practice?

I'm just trying to find out this information so I know the right direction to take and whether or not to expect to be able to do everything within the next month or so. j/k

Thanks,
Jay

Crap, didn't mean to post this in the CVBz forum, but I guess it won't hurt. If a super mod wants to move it, feel free.

2. i was 14 when i started, i started clutchin wheelies the first couple weeks i owned my Z.
3. the first trick would probably a 12, but that was on accident. hah, actually probably it was a bumper grab, i saw steve, jdimports, doin em in some pics and started doin that stuff.

Re: General information about everyone--->

1.Stunted about 2 years now.
2. 14 on the moped, 15 on the 400EX, 16 on the R6.
3. Obviously the wheelie has been around since BMX bike days, but the endo was second.
4. When I had a truck, stuntbike and spot, every Sunday. Now just between seeing cops on the way to work.

Seriously though, if you practice a few times a week on a quad you should be decent in a month.

Re: General information about everyone--->

1. Stunting for a little over 2 years now.

2. Well...I had my first little ATC 70 when I was probably like 6 years old, and I popped little wheelies on that. Then I got myself a Blaster when I was around 13, did a couple wheelies but nothing good. Got a CR125 when I was 14 and, again, I was no wheelie king...hahaha. Sold that, then got a Polaris Sport 400 when I was 19 or so and got into wheelies....then I bought a Banshee and could do a little on that....Then I watched a Green Mountain Outlaw video which inspired me even more. I met Ryan (Redrizza) and Andrew (CVBz), and that lead me to buying a 400ex (at the time it was for racing). Anyway, I started learning stuff on that, then met up with Ryan, Drew, and Hazen and the rest is history (much like my Banshee that got taken away that day ).

3. The first trick that I tried besides a regular Wheelie and Stoppie would probably be a 1-hander wheelie....then no footer....then bumper grab....then legs over. I know you asked for only one, but as you can see from question #2, I can't shut up.

4. The first year I had my EX I tried to practice whenever I could...unfortunatly I couldn't ride my quad where I lived so it was about once per week if I was lucky. Then that next spring I practiced a ton and got all of the basics down so I didn't even have to think about them. Last summer I practiced with Hazen most of the time...Like he said, we tried to get to the lot every Sunday. This year though....ha....hardly any at all. Technically I'd only say I've "practiced" once, and that was back in like March. I have a fair amount with Bryan (Sledneck), but since we have a lack of pavement I can't really improve from where I'm at right now, or even get a chance to pull off a lot of tricks that require traction.

Okay, I'm done running my mouth .

1. I've been stunting for about a year and a half.
2. I had a CBR F4 but had a couple run ins with the police, and almost got my liscense suspended. I got rid of it right before a court date and bought my 400ex.
3. My first trick was a high chair and managed to flip my **** in the dirt (I 12'd and stayed on the throttle). Then I went to stand ups, seat standers, and combo's. My fav trick is seat standers and long stoppies.

4. I'm in the coast guard and spend 6 weeks at home then 6 weeks gone year round, so riding is in my spare time, maybe once every other week for a couple hours. When home I try to spend as much time with my wife as I can. Last time I got to ride and stunt was mid february.

I almost wrote as much as Josh.

Hey man... got your PM... sorry I haven't replied... been super busy with work. Anyway... yeah things are going okay... I haven't progressed too much cause I don't really have anyone to stunt with. I got all your basics on lock and am now working on slower stuff that takes more control.

As for the questionaire:

1. Been stunting since 2000 when Jay and I started up the CVBz. Being doing it on and off since.

2. I was 20 when I really got into it... but have always played with wheelies on my dirtbikes growing up.

3. One of my first tricks would probably be the Christ... which isn't even that difficult of a trick.... but I eventually got good enough to do it on the highway at speed and around corners.

4. Unfortunately... I don't stunt as much as I'd like. I'm on the wheeler 5 days a week, but it's mostly trail riding. I only practice wheelies and tricks about once a week.

Re: General information about everyone--->

1. About a year
2. Late 14 early 15
3. No-handed wheelie (saw rizza or phear doing it so I had to try...didn't work to good at first)
4. I ride every single day (give or take 3-4 days each month for whatever reasons) including in the rain. I know it sounds un-likely but it's true .Every day I ride I'm out for a half an hour to 12 hours depending on whether or not I got school the next day. No matter what I try to just go out for 15 minutes if I have to just so I don't get rusty. I know I ride more than what's probably healthy but...it's what I do when I'm not out with my girl

Re: General information about everyone--->

1. I have been "trying" to stunt since last october of 03. I didn't even know what stunting was untill I met josh (phear) he introduced me to the Stunting sceene
2. I got the scrammy when I was 13, messed around on that for a while
3. Flamingo....and I remember when I pulled it off I was very happy and couldn't believe it
4. I ride everyday I can, nothing is more important or relaxing to me than riding, and going out there and trying something different, me and phear try to ride together as much as he is allowed to (lol). But I'll be out there every day no matter what
