Official..who's gonna finish rebuild first...
Re: Official..who's gonna finish rebuild first...
I see... now you're making excuses. Both quads were a complete strip down and rebuild. Both require parts to be bolted back onto the quad. If you're so sure he'll have to throw in the towel because of his busy schedule, then you should have no problem winning this contest!
Re: Official..who's gonna finish rebuild first...
you should see the nice stainless bracket i had bent up to hold my oil cooler....i'm upgrading to a 400ex oil cooler from the 350x one. Its a little bit bigger than the 350x one and the way its configured its easier to mount. I set the plastics and seat on it last night..its gonna look sick!
Re: Official..who's gonna finish rebuild first...
OH I agree. But I'm not going to give him any slack because of it. He still needs to complete the quad first in order to win... harder build or not.
Slink... did you get the carrier yet? What else are you in need of... besides a professional mechanic to build your quad for you!

i can handle the mechanic part..the only thing i'm not into tearing apart are motors...chassis, carbs, electrical are cake..motors just dont seem to be my thing!

Off topic, but how is your truck looking? The pic I saw was real nice. I just bought a new Tundra, but can't justify the first mod I want to do...wheels and tires...so expensive. Since we are up here in VT I'd like a nice set of 16" rims with some agressive tires on them, but from what I'm told I can't put anything less than an 18" on it because of the size of the rotors. And with the odd bolt pattern there aren't many used options out there....sucks.

Nice. I need something for my new (to me) truck. I can't decide if I want to stick with the 16" rims I have now with the big tires or go to 20's with a street tire.
Re: Official..who's gonna finish rebuild first...
i've been running my 20s with street tires for 2 years now and i'm pretty happy with them. They handle good in wet and dry and i've gone into some sand pits (to unload for riding) and didnt have any traction problems. I wouldnt do any offroading with them, but they have handled some abuse. They make some nice allterrain tires in 20's too..i like the nitto Dune Grapplers.

Phear - Tundra's are nice trucks. Pricey though. If I hear of some Toyota blades I'll let ya know.
Slink - quad is lookin good. Not really feelin the front bumper though.

Hazen i agree..but i dont feel like buying a new one....i think a chrome front bumper would look the best on there..i thought about powdercoating these black.

What do you think? 20's or stick with the 16's and 33's?
