question to Teach about bike

so i have a question from a friend who is making a 900 cbr

he asks me
when u had one, did u prepare (done something special) your motor to not break it when it doesn't pump the oil anymore (when the bike is vertically) ??

hope you understand this post lol

Re: question to Teach about bike

i routinely change the oil and always put 4 full quarts in there, sometimes a LITTLE more...only had 1 motor problem in three years.

riding the bar real slow and doing tricks like that is a sure way to blow your motor...

some people have aftermarket oil pickups, but they are hard to find...

Re: question to Teach about bike

doesn't some kid from Malden or melrose at the brakelights place sell special oil baffles to hold the oil so the motor stays wet?....I heard about it a some other thread either there or Performance Factor should know about it.....I think the thread was in the DTE's forum on their site, but i think its down right now.
