denting tank question

How do you guys dent your tanks in? I'm guessing a regular hammer wouldn't work good because it's to small. Would a rubber mallet work? Let me know I'm ready to dent the tank in and start learning some tank tricks. Bri I know you dent yours just perfect hook me up.

Do not dent tank with hammer

Let the tank dent itself. I was thinking the same thing when I was on my 954 and my *** would slide off the tank. I thought there was no way unless you dent up the tank. Wrong, after you build up your arms and do a few stunts on your tank you will start staying on the tank. Maybe a few strips of tape on your tank will help but let nature take its course. After a few wheelies and stoppies and you let the bike down hard your tank will start to conform to your ***.

You still riding in this weather? I put my bike away in Haverhill for the time being. You still looking into a Fiddy? Maybe we can take a trip up to Naults and see if we can get two for $950 each.

Not riding right now can't wait for nice weather. I want a 50 but the girl won't let me so I'm getting it for my son wink wink. I was going to get it this weekend but not sure what the old lady is going to say. I'll keep in touch and maybe we can go to naults saturday.

Tank Denting

Def. do it naturally, it will conform to you making it easier to do stuff on the tank. You can also sit on the bike parked and jump and land on it with your backside and it will give you the same effect.

I just jumped up and did some windscreen / x-over / highchair stoppies. The 900RR tanks are big and they tend to dent up front first. Once you get a nice cave up front you kick down on the gas tank lid. The lid & lid opening must stay even. They must dent the same. If they don't line up then the tank will leak. Ask Chauncey.... It sucks

what brian said: but after i let it dent naturally, i stood on it and used the heel of my foot to smash in the back of it...near your belt buckle, behind the gas cap...

You could use stickey paper or if you want it to look nice
you could go get some grip tape that they use on skateboards
and use that .:p
