the cop can't do ****. all this case is He Says she says crap. unless he has you on camera you can deny it and it'll be thrown out if you go to court.

hey Teach,

just spoke with a buddy of mine who is a cop for another town. He said that the off duty cop does have a right to write citations 24/7 in his juridiction. He did say that the guy shouldve called a squad car, he was taking a risk coming up to you unarmed, and un-uniformed or you couldve asked for one if you didnt believe him (you didnt mention seeing a badge/ only possibly a po po ID). Anyway, he did say he could write you the violation, the only problem is he has to serve them. He was a little unsure on this, but he doesn't think general mail would stand as serving them but was unsure if certified mail would. So he recommended not going to the station, or answering the door at your place, etc. Again, he shouldve called a car so he couldve served the citations right then and there. If he doesnt serve the citations he cannot charge you. He absolutely CANNOT issue a warrant. If the tickets are served, and you didnt respond than the judge could issue a warrant, but he cannot just because you didnt show up at the station to be served.

By the way, did you get his name or truck type? He said the sargent isnt very nice but he knows him.
