I'm Telecom/Data tech.

I work at a college and keep the phone/voicemail/network/cable tv running.

If it runs on a piece of copper wire I make sure the **** works. When it doesn't they want it fixed yesterday.

I find it funny that the Computer Network can be down for days because some jackass in a manhole cut all my T's for the network, and it's cool, people deal. But when the phone/voicemail, or cable tv goes out.......it's an all out CODE RED emergency. It's has to be fixed asap. I don't understand but that's how it is.

So I'm behind a desk about 40% of the time. Running around the campus the other 20% and napping in a Data closet the other 40%.
