I would and have felt bad for morons that wanted to fu(k around, when they've been close friends. I've been one of the first on the scene to see a friend in 3 peices after drinking and screwing around on his 900RR, and have had more friends die sober screwing around. But non of this has stopped me from riding, though many people will note that this guy did not have a sip of alcohol before riding at any point this weekend. Riding sportbikes is enough of a risk for me, I don't need any factors to make my odds of dieing greater. i may feel bad for a friend that dies or gets injurded, only because he's dead or injured and a friend, not because of how he got there. Same goes for pasengers riding with someone that's been drinking.

Not to sound insulting at all, I'll leave everyone to their right to chose, but from a psycological angle I'm sure the people that feel sorry for this guy and guys like him are also the people that are more likely to have a few drinks and go out riding saying 'it's just a couple drinks'

That was my first thought. All he needed to do was crash sooner or roll the other way and we would have been riding in the ambulance with him. Thank God it happened the way it happened. He was a lucky man to have hit a sign, bounce off a stone wall and land entangled in a tree on top of another stone wall; and only sustain a serious leg injury. His Gixxer was more beat up then him. God has his ways and that man definately had his guardian angel with him that night!

He was real close, when he went by I was starting to lean due to the corner, it was that close, 106 is not a wide road.

I do still wonder what happened with the kid that took off. There are only so many R1's with NH vanity plates and dual NOS tanks.
