anybody purchase or have friends that have bought them off ebay??? They just seem way to cheap to be legit...on ebay you can get 2 rims and hd spokes for $130...which is almost half price if you buy from regular shops...any ideas guys??? thanx

 

i bought a pair of HD RIMS from him, before he had complete sets with spokes. pretty good rim, havent had any problems with them at all. great deal, and not bad quality.

 

most of the time it is a shop or internet company that is trying to unload overstock or something that some one returned. Also - those people will get others to bid on it so that a bidding war starts and then once it reaches the price they want - the other person backs off .....

just make sure that they are new in the box and the brand.


Might look and see what else the person has for sale to see if it is other fiddy parts or just goofy stuff. the person may just be an someone that is just trying to get rid of some stuff.

I got a pair of gold anodized brand new for $80 plus shipping, couldn't pass it up. HD spokes were something like $45 from Extreme Ron

Before you buy just make sure to ask the dude if they are new and anodized aluminum, I've seen some powder coated stock rims for sale on there

yeah man they're aluminum, go for them, they're pretty good quality, and dirt cheap. cant go wrong with them.

 

they look cool as hell if you have your bike all colored out frame, swingarm, etc then they would look awesome since you can get colors

 

The reason they are so cheap on ebay is because bike shops mark up their product 40-50-60% so they can pay rent, keep the lights on, pay employees, etc. people like ron probly sell out the backdoor of their house and on the internet and have no overhead whatsoever thats why they give the best deals.
